Trenton Hoshiko If you want to see a masterpiece of visual and sound like no other, see the documentary film Leviathan. It is one of my favorite films (now) and like nothing I have ever seen, a true experience of nature and life in both the cruelest and most beautiful sense. The director is able to convey amazing emotion and feeling though just the use of light and shape, let alone the whole piece taking the audience though an experience of life and nature. It's contrasting imagery of experimental visuals based on shape and color compared to ones of stark, bestial nature. I barely have any words to try and explain how masterful this film is. Please do not avoid it because some of the poor reviews here, watch the film with an open mind and you will experience something that you never have before.

Trist Squire Absolutely horrendous. I can't believe I just spent an hour and a half of my life watching a group of fishermen twiddle their thumbs, waiting for something to happen. I hate this 'documentary' and everyone who made, produced, starred in and thought up the idea for this abortion of media. I wish I'd read a review, or indeed anything about this before I'd sat through it so I could spare myself the agony. Please, whatever you do, seriously reconsider watching this if you have intentions to do so. I've seen some godawful films in my time, but never anything to tedious, mind-numbing and painful. 1/10 would not recommend to my worst enemy.

euphoria-entertainment I think that this was the worst movie I have ever watched. Please don't waste your time viewing this movie as I'm sure you have more important things to do then waste an hour doing absolutely nothing useful. Go take a hot relaxing bath instead. I wish I had have done that. I feel like I have lost IQ points from sitting here watching this movie with no narrative and awful cinematography. It cannot even be classified as artistic it is that bad. I see nothing of any use coming out of this film except a bunch of angry people that spent money or time on it to watch it. If you like the sea and want to learn something just watch the Discovery Channel or something and if you want to be entertained definitely do not watch this movie. Thank you to the producers and whoever else was involved for wasting their time and money on making this when there are starving children and helpless animals that would have benefited from you just donating that money instead. wow. what a ridiculous world we live in.

michele fiorentino Well my review is partial because I could not stand watching it all even in fast forward. Sorry for the author and staff, I can grasp the artistic reality of the shots (maybe hidden??) but the "documentaristic" does'nt mean for me that i have to be standing in front of a black screen looking for the camera to point somewhere interesting. To make it worst I love the sea and sea creatures and maybe the message is for everybody and for everyday when eating fish you must think to the "wild hunt behind". I suggest sea lover to go for the perfect storm or discovery channel hi sea fishing documentary. They do the same message and give an idea of this hard work, the most dangerous in the world!
