Must See Movie...
Brendon Jones
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

This sequel basically has all the positive ingredients from the first film and more. It's one of the better sequels and is superior to the first film in my opinion. Everything about this got my attention from beginning to end and the competition is even deeper cause both of the chefs that is competing against one another are both likable this time around. And it shows both sides point of view and their motivations for trying to win. Also it can be a bit of a tearjerker for some, cause it really does have more emotional scenes compared to the first one and is more gripping. Everyone put on a decent performance, but the actress Jeong-eun Kim stood out the most. Although she isn't the main chef that is focused in this film and has other motives than the protagonist, she just really stood out cause her character was still likable and she did a great job building her character. Her character has intensity and tenacity and a straight view of what she is trying to accomplish. The pacing is even better this time around as well, and doesn't seem rushed at all. Although I liked the first movie, this sequel really does surpass it in just about every aspect.8.5/10
