Sorry, this movie sucks

Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

Most of the big studio films out there try way to hard to go for the joke. These filmmakers actually put some thought behind the style of the humor. Yes there was a little too much bathroom humor for some people, but I strongly suggest that you rent this. I loved it. It reminded me a little of Bottle Rockets by Wes Anderson. There are too many movies that have the same five actors. It's nice to see some fresh faces. I wouldn't be surprised if these brothers become a powerful force within the industry. I look forward to more of your stuff guys! Keep it up! BenP.S. Really great commentary on the DVD.

What the heck is with the DVD market these days? It seems as if anybody can shoot a movie on video and get it released. This film(er, taped film) is another in the long list of titles flooding the market with zero quality. The kid from American Pie must be having career problems. Otherwise he would be appearing in real films instead of directing and producing his own home made production ala "L.A. D.J." Even worse, this kid must really have an ego, otherwise he would know better than to put his name on this piece of garbage. I mean, really. This thing is really a stinker bomb. It is not funny. It is ridiculous. Gee, how many times can the word "dude" or "bro" be used in 90 minutes? And is farting in somebody's face repeatedly funny? I'll admit, "Dude, where's my car" was funny. But at least that film combined the bathroom humor with at least some intelligence. No wonder this went straight to DVD. It should have stayed off the market. Period.

I am so sorry I rented this piece of garbage tonight. I was warned by the video clerk that it is an alful film and he only ordered ONE copy for his store and so far, has had 10 customers return it demanding their money back. So, it's my fault for going ahead and renting it. It is a shot on video tape and it shows! It also was released direct DVD.. a low budget disaster. The background music was obviously home made on a computer. The directing was beyond bad! The writing was terrible!!! The acting from ALL involved was worse than a porn film. The two main leads say "dude" and "bro" in almost every sentence. The constant farting is very immature. The plot has more holes in it than a slice of swiss cheese. The two lead characters sport sideburns that went out of style when "90210" went off the air years ago. In short, this is to be avoided at all costs! It is a tremendously bad film. And now it's a permanent fixture on Mr. Nicholas' resume! How humiliating! Don't say I didn't warn you!

I saw this movie at one of it's showings and really enjoyed it. I think it's really good for a first effort in writing and directing. Better than a lot of movies that seem to be out there. I have been following Thomas Nicholas' career for years and for someone so young to take on such a huge project as making a movie is awesome. I hope the industry is paying attention to it. The story has a plot and a moral. It is aimed at younger adults, but older ones can enjoy it too. Even though it is about DJ's it could be about the struggles of any two brothers to make it in this world and what an impact it could have on their relationship if things go wrong. I hope it gets picked up by someone soon!V.Wildblood
