Varun Chaudhary Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is an Indian Hindi coming-of-age romantic comedy drama film, released in India and the United Kingdom on 16 October 1998. It was written and directed by Karan Johar, and starred the popular on- screen pair of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in their fourth film together. Rani Mukerji featured in a supporting role, while Salman Khan had an extended guest appearance.Filmed in India, Mauritius, and Scotland, this was Karan Johar's directorial debut. One of his goals for the film was to set a new level for style in Hindi cinema. The plot combines two love triangles set years apart. The first half covers friends on a college campus, while the second tells the story of a widower's young daughter who tries to reunite her dad with his old friend.The film was extremely successful in India and abroad, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of the year and the third highest-grossing Indian film ever behind Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. ARUN KRISHNAN This is one of the greatest love stories I have ever watched in my life!. It tells us the great strength of pure love by portraying a lovely love triangle!. The film is highly entertaining and engaging in many ways. The technical aspects are also good along with one of the superb performances from all the lead and supporting actors/actresses in the film! . Go ahead and watch it!. I think this is a masterpiece!. This film is highly suitable for family viewing. It doesn't contain any kind of vulgarity or violence. It just shows pure love in a very decent manner. drsridhar_saxena One of those trash movies which have been marred by atrocious over acting by Shahrukh Khan....this actor has ruined the film irreparably though the story line is not bad. Director of the film Karan Johar must be out of his mind to feature tale of a boy two timing and then telling one (Kajol) that she is her best friend only and actually he loves the other one (Rani Mukherzee)...all sort of stuff which appeals to youngsters has been included in this movie though almost everything is melodramatic to the limit...there is a college principal who behaves like a buffoon ...there are students who look just out of fashion show...et al. this is a movie only for die-hard Shahrukh fans

booster l never really liked shah rukh khan's acting... always the same, i don't see any difference. ever since DARR movie he stuck to this weird stuttering... over-acting... bacially he's always so over-rated... tried a lot to be funny but too bad... collage scenes AWFULLLLL... looked way older for collage students... very bad taste when it comes to clothes choices... don't really understand y salman khan was in a supporting role, he's much better then that. a lot of crying, AGAIN a lot of stuttering for no reason what so ever. Kajol has always been good in movies but poor choices i guess sometimes... all the sets looks like candy(colours barf)... all in all not worth it..
