Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Full of ultra-violent gun play our heroin is neither sympathetic nor anti-heroic she merely is. An enigmatic dominant female who isn't going to allow bumbling roughs and sinister masterminds get the better of her. Like Leon (The Professional) she is motivated by payment the intrigues and politics between the waring factions are not her concern. However, she knows how to handle herself. Of course she needs to win out in the end over the dirty deeds of the hired thugs, the dirty cops and the twisted king-pin. In a film filled with nothing but bad-guys shouldn't the woman with the gun and the lack of concern be the winner? I came, I saw, I kicked it's ass then I got paid and went home.

daodao I saw this on cable TV in Australia and I actually quite enjoyed it. I tended to think it was slightly tongue in cheek. The cop (Craig Fairbrass) arranges for this hit woman to kill someone for him, but just in case he gets found out, he hires a bunch of amateurs to make a hit on the hit woman. Hilarity doesn't quite ensue, but it was very watchable, although mainly for 11pm on a weeknight when you've got a day off the next day. Worth seeing but don't go out of your way.

critofur Any reviewer that makes a comment like "there's too much killing in this movie" about a movie called "Killing Time" must be a total idiot! Duh. Anyway, my friend and I both enjoyed this movie a lot. I haven't watched it recently enough to make accurate critical comments other than what I said already 'cause I can't find it on DVD and it's hard to bring myself to watch movies on VHS anymore. I would really love to have a good quality DVD of this movie.-- Critofur

Artemis-9 Another IMDb user was disappointed when he rented this movie, because of it's several plot mistakes. The one example he gives, is not a mistake. The elite killer does an hotel pageboy enter the hotel bedroom because she assumed he would make less a fuss about her not letting him in, and also because she did not expect that a man she had previously 'killed' would start up a fuss just when the boy was going out again. She does the obvious thing: she kills the pageboy, because *now* he posed a problem to her, too. Then she disposes of the man she had not killed properly before. Every one of her killings is justified, either because she was being attacked, putting in jeopardy, betrayed or - simply - had been paid to do the job. A sort of "Nikita" character, minus the redeeming values, makes this a dark film indeed (à la French film-noir of the 1950s), plus a lissom, exquisite beauty that is allowed a nude scene to make this an even better adult film. The English humour may be lost on some American viewers, but the huge number of graphic killings with guns, all in different, creative ways, the oppressive ambience created by empty sets (even a usually busy London underground escalors!) and the realism of the characters and dialogue, did work for me. I'm glad I recorded it while viewing it, and only sorry that I missed the opening credits. maybe one day I'll find it on video, and rent or buy it.
