The movie was good. Rajinikanth and everybody acted very good in the movie. 1st half was so entertaining. But the 2nd half was somewhat boring. The movie lags a lot. Songs and BGM were also amazing in the movie. The movie could be more better.

For people who expect to see moon during mid afternoon.. they will be disappointed.. What else can you expect.Not a conventional opening scene of a Rajini movie.. but thats what character based story work out to..
Each Rajini scene is an epic of class and style in itself, no wonder why he is still style king..
BGM is good, the girl coming as his daughter is done well and character will remain in viewer minds for loong loong time to come..The movie is made with an aged Rajini character alike the God Father classic in the story and it fits the bill very well.The climax is a bit drag, but apart from that, its very good...
Can watch again and again for Thalaivar, his performace and acting..

PA.Ranjith who impressed with his previous two films got a chance of his life time to direct Super Star Rajinikanth. He created tremendous interest with the first look, teaser and trailer. Expectations soared but PA.Ranjith failed to live up to the expectations. 'Kabali' dragged from the start to finish and never goes full throttle to show the power on silver screen.He huffs and puffs and though there are few scenes where Kabali shows his power, overall he failed to have a powerful takeoff. Film has only one interesting twist and that too a predictable one at the end of the first half.While first half drags listlessly from 'Kabli' seeking revenge on mafia, reforming young members of the mafia gangs and finding out his wife presumably dead, second half turns out to be a torture with sentiment scenes. The climax shocks all as it turns out to be one of the weakest with no conclusive ending.Film lacks commercial elements and there is no humour and romance in the film.Viewers get to see Kabali power only in couple of scenes as Ranjith failed to elevate the conflicts between Rajini and Winston Chao the villain in a more powerful manner. Only Rajinikanth's star power and screen presence to some extent saved the film where Ranjith failed with his story, screen-play and direction. He must have been dumb stuck when he got the call from Rajinikanth. with reference by myfirstshow

Not thinking about its BO collection and seeing it separately as a movie,this is probably the most realistic Rajinikanth aka Thalaivar movie we fans can get.Also the fact that it addresses multiple issues in the film,the film may feel slow at time and also with the high melodrama thrown in,but this movie breaks the notion of types Thalaivar has been doing,the same charisma is reflected in his solid acting,carrying the movie on his shoulders.The supporting cast is good,the music and bgm are also terrific.This the most down to Earh mass role Thalaivar has done.A different moviewatching experience,sometimes we feel we move along with the leads.On the whole a different Rajni movie!!!
