Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

This show is great, a must see for RomCom fans. It has good eye candy, an excellent cast, I guess some FX, AND possession's not just a joke, it's funny.Ruffalo shines in this. This is definitely worth watching, I do it every 2 - 3 years.

Just Like Heaven (2005): Dir: Mark Waters / Cast: Reese Witherspoon, Mark Ruffalo, Dina Waters, Jon Heder, Donal Logue: Heaven is misinterpreted in the title particularly in the Biblical sense when Jesus describes it as a paradise but these characters are not happy so it misses the mark. Reese Witherspoon plays a doctor working overtime and on her way home she has an accident. Mark Ruffalo moves into her apartment and is startled at her image, which only he can see. When he realizes that he cannot rid her he decides to help her find answers. Directed by Mark Waters who made the overrated Freaky Friday as well as a great teen flick called Mean Girls. This is not an advancement but it is still well made. Witherspoon discovers the reality of her circumstance but Ruffalo steals the film as he rids his alcohol problem by assisting her with answers. They have superb comic chemistry as they team up and use each others' disability to their advantage. Minor supporting work by Dina Waters and the spiritual Jon Heder in roles that fail to ring interest. In fact, Heder is more or less playing a variation of his famous Napoleon Dynamite role only this time he spouts nonsense that makes him sound dumber. This film will likely appeal most to big Witherspoon fans. Its message is warped due to spiritual aspects that are misguided but despite its visual appeal it is certainly not like Heaven. Score: 3 / 10

Reese Witherspoon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Heder, Dina Waters and Donal Logue star in this 2005 romantic comedy. This takes place in San Francisco where we meet young woman, Elizabeth (Witherspoon), a doctor who gets in a car accident. We also meet, David (Ruffalo) a landscape architect and widower who rents her apartment while she's in a coma. David gets visited by Elizabeth's spirit and he's the only one that can see her. Since she can't remember anything, He helps her regain her life and they fall for each other in the process discovering that fate has brought them together. Heder (Blades of Glory) plays spiritual psychic, Darryl, Waters plays Elizabeth's sister, Abby and Logue (Gotham) plays her friend, Jack. This is a good film and Witherspoon & Ruffalo have good chemistry. I recommend this.

I watched this film during the holy week as it was aired on Philippine TV through ABC-TV5, and the opening scenes really impressed me pushing me to watch through the whole of the film.If you ask me about my taste of movies, I usually am bored when watching love stories because for me, it appears too generic. On the other hand, I love watching films with unique genre and storyline that is obviously created with intellect. This film is one of a kind. It is phenomenal - a usual love story redefined. I never imagined such kind of thinking but it was made possible, so congratulations to all the producers of this film. I really liked it, and I know many other people liked it too.Second thing is I really loved when the director put some twists on the part before the ending. It really is heart touching and feelings could not be denied. And of course, the ending was comfortable to watch. Very good!I have no negative point to raise but I'd just give it a score of 8 because I have to fair with those movies that got heavy production.
