Griff Lees Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

spencergrande6 It's kinda funny but also so ridiculously bad on a very basic plot and character arch level. Amy Smart's character literally just behaves exactly how each scene dictates and it's not influenced by any scenes before and after that have happened to her. She likes him, hates him, keeps going out with him, hates him, doesn't like the other guy inexplicably. None of it matters at all.I know it really isn't supposed to matter that much in a movie like this but if the filmmakers can't even gets something that basic right what does that say about the rest of it? Nothing good, that's for sure. Anna Faris is enjoyable crazy as usual.

FISH BREATH Watched about an hour of this trash before I turned it off, absolute trash. Go outside and enjoy your life you will have way more fun than watching this movie. Not sure what other reviewers were watching by saying this is a good film, I guess the quality of films have sunk so low people just don't know what is a good or bad film.Plot is stupid and acting is bad. Dr_Sagan This feels like an old school comedy. And by old school I mean lots of comedies between 1980-1995.Its premise has some deep insights, but overall it's a comedy with lots of physical humor and a shallow (although some times sharp) script.In a way, someone can argue that this movie is also ...educational: Avoid the "Friend zone" with the girl you are secretly in love with.All the characters are presented with exaggeration. Not real to life.Amy Smart is lovely in this but Reynolds fails to be interesting plus he adds some Jim Carrey stunts and mannerism that don't suit him. Anna Faris is also in this and plays a wacko pop singer with great efficiency!Overall: If you catch it on TV watch it, but don't expect to be amazed.

SnoopyStyle Chris Brander (Ryan Reynolds) is an overweight teen and he's in love with his best friend Jamie Palamino (Amy Smart). But in an attempt to proclaim his love, he makes a fool of himself in front of a class party. And Jamie just want to be friends. Now they're grown up and he's not fat anymore. Plus he's a success in the music industry. He has to accompany a ridiculous pop princess Samantha James (Anna Faris). Their jet catches on fire and they land back in his home town. It just might be his chance to be more than friends with Jamie.Chris is an unlikeable character. And I don't think I rooted for him and Jamie to get together. Anna Faris is playing her character way too broad. At least I thought so, until the pond hockey game with the kids. The whole thing is full of anger, the characters are an unlikeable pathetic mess, and there are so many douchey characters. It's just too hard to root for anybody in this one.
