Sorry, this movie sucks

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

JUDY is an entirely cheap grindhouse movie whose sole purpose is to show off endless acres of female flesh while at the same time trying to hang together the nude scenes with something resembling a plot. The effect is somewhat disappointing, to say the least. For a cheap skin flick with a short running time, this feels very slow and dragged out, and the barely strung-together plot is a chore to sit through.The tale is about a killer who goes around murdering naked women in their own apartments. A typical scene sees a woman bathing naked for ten minutes before the killer abruptly shows up and murders her. There are the requisite sex scenes including lesbian interludes, but the actresses seem to have been picked off the street and display little talent for the craft.The guy playing the stodgy cop is little better and the whole film has an amateurish feel with inept staging and the like. The ending is laughable. The editing is basic and the point-and-shoot direction even more so. Vinegar Syndrome are to be commended for bringing such rare produce to the table, but we can only wish that they'd choose movies of greater quality in future.

A depraved sex killer preys on women of ill repute in the red light district area of Boston, Massachusetts. Hard-nosed maverick private detective Gunner Sloan (stolidly played by Dave Haller) gets hired by the wealthy Fairchild to find the psycho after the creep assaults Fairchild's daughter Regina. While this movie suffers from flat direction by David W. Hanson, a plodding pace, and poor acting from a lame no-name cast, it nonetheless still manages to sustain the viewer's interest thanks to the lurid subject matter, a sleazy narrative that combines a seedy film noir atmosphere with kinky giallo-type elements (the sicko likes to strangle his naked victims), a generous amount of tasty female nudity, and a few seamy soft-core sex scenes (the opening protracted interracial lesbian make-out session and a subsequent girl on girl set piece rate as the definite scorching hot highlights). The clumsily staged violence delivers several unintentional belly laughs. Moreover, the bevy of fine looking ladies keep this movie watchable: Ravishing redhead Sandy O'Hara, slender tanned fox Judith Lowe, busty luscious brunette Lee Sherry, and leggy blonde dish Toula Flambouris. With its wealth of static master shots and frequent use of queasy zoom-ins, John Hargrove's plain cinematography provides an appropriately rough'n'ready visual aesthetic. The groovy score hits the swinging spot. Worth a watch for fans of low-grade grindhouse trash.

Private Eye Gunner Sloan is frustrated by a brutal, psychotic serial killer of Boston's "combat zone" girls. Somehow the killer has inside information on his own case and manages to stay ahead of not only the police but also a step ahead of the brilliant, albeit "tough guy", Private Detective.
