This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

What I like about this movie is that it is not ordinary and it has a great plot. It's composed of not one, but several little stories within the larger tale. The main character is a handsome, moral individual who cares about more than just money, sex, success, or any of the other things most adults seem to obsess over. He is determined to follow his dream and more than anything to find "the answer". The entire film is allegorical, immensely interesting, and unique. It is a breath of fresh air to find a film like this - one that is wonderful, memorable, not run of the mill, and yet one that I had never heard of before and discovered purely by chance. It is a gem of a film with decent acting and well-written characters and scenes. The film makes you think about what you would do in his situation, it makes you hope for greatness in your own life, and makes you want to know what will happen for the main character. I love these sorts of "journey" films and all the fantastical elements of the movie just make it that much better. Sure, there were certain things about the film I didn't particularly like, like the segment about the girl looking for the perfect sexual experience. I just didn't understand why it was there or why it was necessary for her to be humiliated, but I love the segment about "Euphoria", as well as the last 20 or so minutes of the film. There are also certain questions the film leaves unanswered, but I suppose that mystery just lends itself to discussion - those questions give you something to ponder about, disagree on, or just generally think about the film long after you've seen it. In any sense, it's a very entertaining, special, and worthwhile film.

Interstate 60 is one very strange but one very cool movie, that features a man searching for the great mysteries of life on a road that doesn't exist on any map. On Interstate 60, your wildest dreams or worst nightmares can come true, so you have to be careful where you get off. You might find yourself in a town that's full of insane laws, where everyone is a lawyer. On the other hand, you might find yourself in a town dedicated to partying, where every resident is high on drugs 24/7. There are strange drifters, weird road side attractions, and caught in the middle of everything is Neal Oliver (James Marsden), who isn't sure why he's there. At first, I just thought this film was weird and over my head, but as time went by, I started to see the genius of it. How it shows us that taken to the extreme, what we really want isn't what we want at all, and that most of us don't really know what the hell we want. James Marsden is the star and he is fantastic, paired with a non-stop flow of cameos everywhere he stops. This virtually unknown film has appearances by Michael J. Fox, Ann-Margert, Christopher Lloyd, Kurt Russell, and the list goes on and on. How they got all these guys to appear in a direct to video feature is beyond me, but take it from me, this isn't your typical b-movie. This film is one of the most unique stories you will ever see and even if you don't fully understand everything that's happening, you'll keep watching simply to see who and what comes next.

So I've been watching Interstate 60 once every year or so since it came out and I can't believe how well it holds up.Essentially the film follows a man named Neal, played by James Marsden, as he is thrust into a bizarre road trip on his 22nd birthday. At its heart, I60 is an old school scifi/road trip movie, more in the vein of a twilight zone than it is Star Wars, which is to say not at all. The movie boasts a rogues gallery of talent from Marsden to Christopher Lloyd to Kurt Russell to Gary Oldman to Amy Smart to Michael J Fox, but this isn't a lot of flash and band, but rather more of a cerebral and whimsical storyline.Everyone that I've recommend this film to has hated it, each and everyone, which means that either most of my friends simply have bad taste when it comes to film or I'm insane.Watch the movie.

Alright, I have a lot to say about this movie. In short, I didn't like it.This movie is childish while at the same time not being for kids. There is language, occasionally, and a scene where a woman talks about sex, a lot. These didn't really need to be there and probably could have been cut. It probably would have been a good idea, because this movie talks down to it's audience. It uses a lot of clichéd ideas from other movies about metaphysics or finding yourself, but it spends a great deal of time sitting there and explaining it to you. Seriously, the bulk of this movie is just people talking about what's going on in the movie. There are a few scenes that work. The court scene, for example, was good, although I wish it were later in the movie since we had just seen the businessman. Most of the scenes sucked, though, especially the end. I know that when you have a "it's just a dream" story, you need to bring something from the dream into the real world so the audience won't feel cheated, but that was just over kill. And for the record, I saw the red club when he was flipping through the deck the first time.I could complain about this movie for hours. It's a movie that tries to be like Alice in Wonderland or The Phantom Tollbooth, but it isn't. It handles these topics very clumsily and most of it is just a chore to sit through.
