Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Scherzo infernal (1984) *** (out of 4) Here's another bizarre short from Walerian Borowczky. This one here deals with a female angel who dares to question the "higher ups" because she enjoys what sin has to offer. This six-minute animated piece takes place in both Heaven and Hell and if you're a fan of the director then I'm sure you'll enjoy this one. We're introduced to a variety of characters, all sinners, but the main person is of course the angel and her desires. There's certainly nothing ground-breaking about this short but at the same time it's certainly a lot of fun. The director brings his surreal touch to the material and there's no question that the animation itself is quite good, if a bit standard.
