The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

There's few movies that I really enjoyed watching, and this is definitely one of them.
I thought it was charming, clever and cleverly funny (not Marvel "so called" funny) and it has some of the best quotes.
the movie was on my To Watch-List for a long time, and I just watched it '2018', and oh my !!! I regret not watching it sooner.
{at some point I felt sad about a particular person, but the ending was satisfying}

Some films are to be watched in theaters and some on DVD. 'Imagine You and Me' belongs to the latter. On a rainy Sunday afternoon, this is a perfect movie to watch.Its a simple story about love and marriage. And it asks that very important question ...what if you find true love after marriage ?What I liked about this movie is that it was realistic and the writers never indulge in heavy emotional scenes. They keep the story simple and short. So as viewer, I was never bored.Also, the characters came across as people who we were believable and identifiable. The movie doesn't boast of some great performances and everyone does justice to their roles. The good aspect of this film is that there are no major stars.So if you like some romantic movie and are no averse to watching LGBT stuff, then catch this movie.

This is one of the dullest films I have ever seen. It's a romantic comedy with little romance and little comedy.Rachel (Piper Perabo) is a young woman happily marrying her long-time boyfriend Hector (Matthew Goode). But at their wedding Rachel meets and starts to fall for Luce (Lena Headey), their lesbian florist. There's sexual tensions between them and Heck tries to figure out why his wife is becoming so distant. Rachel must then decide who she will stay with, Luce or Heck? This movie was SO boring. I don't think I've ever written a synopsis that short, and that's because NOTHING happens! Seriously, the majority of the movie is the characters doing mundane tasks like taking care of things at work, grocery shopping, and eating dinner. The main bonding moment was Luce teaching Rachel how to yell obscene insults at a soccer match. Just melts your heart doesn't it? They had little chemistry. I didn't care about either of them. I watched this film a few days ago and I could not remember EITHER of the characters' names when I was writing this; it was that boring and forgettable. We knew nothing about the characters. Luce was a florist, and a lesbian. Rachel was…a closeted(?) lesbian married to a man. Honestly, the only person I really felt sympathetic towards was Hector! Also, it must be said that when the most sympathetic character in a lesbian film is a man…I think you messed up. I mean, here's this sweet guy trying to bond with his wife and she's making out with the florist from their freaking WEDDING. Speaking of, there are only two small kissing scenes. It's a tame movie, and was only rated R because of homophobia. Imagine Me & You was so devoid of emotion, character and plot that I am truly baffled as to why some people consider this one of the "best" lesbian movies. It's a crap movie, and there's little to no passion or connection between the two women. The only interesting character was Rachel's eccentric little sister who was in all of three scenes. I'd much rather have watched a movie about her! There was also only about one or two chuckles in the whole movie. Yeah…I'd skip this one. There are many better films, and better lesbian romances.

I understand romantic comedies are predictable most of the time - they meet in the beginning of the movie, they think about it during and they decide to go for it in the end. But in good movies the rest is not boring.I actually didn't know this movie is about lesbian love but it was obvious in the first scene in the church.the guy works in City, tells stories about traveling. And what do you know - he quits the job :) It just could not be more predictable. -Lucy mother is lonely and depressed, so she should find a man. Bum! She does... they are already married and the only way they can split up to be romantically correct is for him to realize that love is above all and step aside. And here you go - he does just the thing. Lucy teaches Rachel to scream - tell me you didn't know she would use it later :) and the main of them all - chase in traffic because one of the characters thinks it's over and goes away for some reason.Those are just examples - movie is full of it. Forget character development - 1 minute per character is enough so we know what is his/her role in the movie. After watching the beginning of the movie you get your standard set - lonely guy (in this movie it's a girl-lesbian, but what does it change?) who is alone because she is looking for a true love, female character - settled but bored and supposed to find her true love, friend of the male character - womanizer, etc. The rest of the movie is just plain boring. You can smell every plot turn a mile away.BUT, this is very standard romantic comedy so if this is one of your first ones (or you just have bad memory :)) - you will probably enjoy it. Girls are very pretty and the general tone of movie is light. Some moments are pretty funny.
