While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

"Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed" was as most sequels are - not as good as its predecessor. And while having said that, don't get me wrong. It is not a bad or boring movie, it just wasn't as good as the first movie.Story-wise then it is a direct continuation of part one, and on that account then part two is good. But it just wasn't wholeheartedly fulfilling in my opinion.Emily Perkins does an okay job in reprising the role as Brigitte. And while Katharine Isabelle is in the movie, her role is a small one, but she still did a good job. But was the Ginger character necessary for this sequel? If you have seen part one, having the dead character appear before her sister was okay. But if you haven't seen part one then it makes very Little sense. After having seen part two I am left with a sense of irrelevance, because the movie, while entertaining enough, just wasn't outstanding or particularly memorable or fulfilling to conclude part one.Compated to part one, then there are less special effects in part two. A thing which hindered the movie, because it would have been nice if the audience was fed more special effects after having been teased with the werewolf design and effects in part one."Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed" is a mediocre movie, and as such scores a flat five out of ten stars from me.

Perkins and Isabelle continue to astonish us with their respective talent as they recreate their roles from the first Gingersnaps film. Simply put, their artistry is breathtaking. That two young women can carry an entire film and even a continuing saga is inspiring. That they do it with such overwhelming gravitas and presence is tremendous. They are perfect in their parts and capture teenage angst and awakening sexuality with skill and sensitivity. For these stunning performances alone, Gingersnaps II deserves the attention of appreciative audiences. It is no wonder that these modest films have gained such recognition, praise, and acclaim worldwide.

This follow up to the cult werewolf original is about on par with the first film. With her werewolf sister dead and herself infected by the curse, teen Brigitte is checked into a mental asylum where her fellow inmates turn out to be just as odd as she herself is. With group masturbation sessions on the schedule and another werewolf roaming the grounds, she soon realises that her stay at the asylum is going to be anything but uneventful. The film's tone is weird throughout. The scriptwriters take a delight in presenting kooky characters, and there's a certain Lynchian atmosphere to the proceedings. Emily Perkins is once again an unusual, slightly ethereal lead, but Katharine Isabelle's scenes as a ghost don't really work. The film's more interesting when it focuses on the supporting cast, from the young blonde girl Ghost caring for her badly burned relative to the sleazy staff members.GINGER SNAPS: UNLEASHED incorporates a number of different genres into its story. It's full of teen angst to begin with, and then becomes an asylum flick with all the oddness you'd expect. The addiction thread remains strong and then, finally, it reveals itself as a monster movie at the climax, although that's where it's weakest; it works better earlier on, dealing with stuff that isn't by now way too familiar from dozens of other similar films.

Ginger Snaps II: Unleashed is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Ginger Snaps. This sequel focuses on Brigitte who is desperately trying to prevent what happened to her sister, Ginger, from happening to her by shooting up with monkshood. She sent to rehab, with the police assuming monkshood is an illegal drug.Unlike the first movie, Ginger Snaps II is a genuinely creepy film. The humour present in the first movie is largely missing and has been replaced with a more dark and serious tone. It really does work, although to a lesser extent than in the first film. The special effects, however, are not done as well as in the first. What originally made Ginger Snaps so great was the fact that it didn't make use of CGI. This film does make use of CGI though, although the wolf itself is still a puppet. Although it does make the film appear more sleek and stylish, the CGI also takes away from what made the first movie so good in the first place.Brigitte's transformation into a werewolf is much different than that of Ginger's. Brigitte continues to use monkshood to try and combat the changes and as a result her transformation appears more twisted and ugly. That being said, this improves on the suspense and the overall effect of the transformation quite a bit.Ginger Snaps II is more of the horror and less of the comedy, but it still works very well. You won't be sorry you watched it.http://ukmore.tk/
