While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

As I started to watch the movie I almost shut it off. I thought it was lame. But as the movie progressed I started liking it more. It came together. I thought the idea of gene fusion was creative but as I watched it in action it took me a little bit to figure out how it all worked according to their story line. The teenagers and the trainer were the strongest characters of the movie and very likable. The beginning was very weak and the lead villain was also weak. Some parts of the dialog could have been better and as the movie progressed it did. About a quarter of the way into it, the movie had grabbed my attention and did not let go. By the end of the movie a desire had been created in me to want to see the continuation of the story line. To see what happens next. I hope they will continue as a series.

I think the beginning was quite OK. I thought oh the animation might be pretty crappy but at least the story could save up some interesting moments. But no, really not even a little. At first the animation is like an ingame movie sequence from 1998 or something, it looks awful. And than like I said the beginning sounded quite promising but it will completely disappoint you. The plot is like a mix up of random situations. The idea of mixing genes is interesting but what they made it... oh my god. Ever wondered how a gorilla mixed with a zebra would look like? Yeah? Me neither! ... I don't know how it would look like but certainly not like this, this is simply a lack of creativity. It's complete nonsense and not even funny or something like that. No fun, no nice action, no creativity, and so from me: Don't you ever dare to watch this!
