Diagonaldi Very well executed

Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
dthomas-52961 Clearly one of the most boring movies I've ever seen. The lead character (if you can call her that)..... Jennifer Westfeldt, makes the movie almost unwatchable because she can't act, and her "overuse of plastic surgery" is so abhorrent that it's hard to watch her. I think her husband is famous, which explains why she got a movie. Anyway, the movie's not funny, extremely predictable and slow. Don't watch this, go watch paint dry instead. It had other GREAT actors in it, which made me think it would be good, but it was so disappointing!
steverainbow1958 I shall never get that wasted time back should I live to a hundred. Self indulgence has a new acolyte worshipping at the Temple of Me-Me-Me. From the start this painted by the numbers drivel doled out a vision that only rings true to the idiots in Hollywood who financed this stinking stool of a Production.Casting by the numbers resulted in a mish-mash of semi-familiar faces who truly did not believe in this project. Acting is not just reading the pathetic script and wishing you were dead, no one convinced in the woeful crudfest that this motion picture was.How is this not in the 50 Cents or less bin at what remains of Blockbuster is a mystery 100-fold more interesting than this egregious tripe.
HelenMary good, though not uplifting unconventional romance about a group of friends with kids who inspire a non-attached couple to have a baby without the complications of a romantic relationship or living together. This film looks at the reality of relationships, the pitfalls and the less than glamorous side of having a baby. Jennifer Westfeldt (who also wrote and directed) and Adam Scott, were the BFF's who have a baby together (Jason and Julie), with Maya Rudolph, British (IT Crowd) funny man Chris O'Dowd, SNL veteran Kristen Wiig in a non-comedic role, Madman John Hamm as well as gorgeous Edward Burns and Megan Fox as the other main players. Each character was well delineated and distinct, well acted - special mention to Chris O'Dowd - with a few funny moments. As a romcom though I feel that it was probably more dramatic and not amusing, and entertaining only as an experience rather than in it's own right. I thought it was a good film but I'd not say I enjoyed it greatly as there was much that was difficult viewing. Of course there was the Hollywood ending, which whilst it didn't make logical sense it was predictable. It was done with passion and commitment and I felt that the narrative was important to those telling it, nothing really to complain about, just not a light-hearted watch. Alcohol was the mascot of this film, both for pleasure and pain, another 'flag' that the characters were going through difficult times.Adult, family issues film, that didn't have the tenderness or passion or comedy of some similar titles (Parenthood, Crazy Stupid Love, What To Expect When You Are Expecting etc) and left a rather depressed and downbeat feeling with a final scene that was an anti-climax and rather poorly scripted due to the choice of language; it sort of just made the end a bit "oh. was that it?" Much in the film was a bit "Meh!" and I'm still not sure whether this was a 5 or a 6 as whilst the performances were good, and the production fine, it had no charisma or anything to really hang your hat on.
Josh Bourne The premise of the film seems interesting; two great friends in a platonic relationship who chose to have a child together while they both pursue genuine romance. The script was also decent. There were comedic moments and it showed the more realistic side of adult relationships. However, whether the actors were at fault or the characters were just not good enough, it was hard to care about what happened to them. The characters being portrayed all lacked charisma, making it difficult not to be apathetic. By the end of it I couldn't really care less about how their relationships turned out or how well they had parented the child. Overall it was an okay film to pass the time when there is little else to do, but I certainly wouldn't make any kind of effort to watch it. Very disappointing.
