redrobin62-321-207311 In this review I'll try my best to leave spoilers out so other folks can see what I've seen and make up their own minds about this film. I can go ahead and say, however, that it's not the bloodfest that some reviewers have said it was. I found myself shouting at the screen a few times at husband Chad because he was a spineless abomination. You will end up asking yourself throughout the film, "What did this wife see in this jerk? Why'd she remain with him for so long?"Cinematography-wise, the movie was okay. In fact, I'm surprised it didn't find the audience it was looking for. It may have been low budget but it would've played well on the big screen. In a way, it's a poor man's "Hostel" or "Saw". It wasn't a total waste of time; the acting was on point and the right (horrific) atmosphere was created. I guess it's one of those films you take for what it is. Check it out anyway. Mileage may vary, though.

atinder After seeing the trailer for this movie, I was afraid they showed way to much of the movie. Here another movie were We follow a young couple as they leave their everyday lives behind and head out to a new beginning; starting over from scratch and while Driver , Chad who ends up falling a sleep at the wheel, Crash the car. We get flash back of happened in before they decided to movie way, it felt really strange for them for keeping going back wards now and again, it got really annoying at the times and Felt of place. Soon there see house they go there, These to couple who are at the house seem very friends (TOO Friendly, Which I thought would have creepy for stranger to say those thing then sooner then later thing that nasty turn. These couple soon turn nasty and keep the other hostage for some part of the movie, these Torture scenes were really that good or that nasty however There one scenes I found did find A bit nasty , Let just I won't use Cheese crater today for sure. Then they go over the board with over done twist , which I been done so many times now, It's getting boring now, I make the pass hour Point-less and a waste of time. The ending really ruined the movie , I kind of felt a little cheated. however I did not get board with this movie, it get entertained thought out the movie, the acting was really good from the short cast in this movie. 5 out of 10

jamesm1068 I rented this thinking it was going to be just another slasher film but was really surprised to find out it was much more than a simple horror film. Kelly Hu was awesome in this, the acting was above average for most of it, while by the middle of the film I was on the edge of my seat and the end I was surprised by the twist. I can see that viewers of this film who were expecting a suspense filled drama wouldn't like it if they were not fans of this genre and it is a true horror flick. The story begins a little slow for the first 5-10 min. and seems like a typical low budget horror film but once it gets rolling it is a nice piece of work, the film turns out not to be a low budget horror but a suspense filled horror film that is a bit creepy and fun at the same time. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys bloody good horror films!

ponusjoe42 I watch a lot of bad horror movies. I go to my local video store, browse the choices and grab a couple for the weekend. They're usually pretty lame but every once in while some random choice ain't so bad. "Farmhouse" falls in to the "ain't so bad" category if you're looking for sadism, torture, and graphic violence.An attractive couple gets kidnapped by another attractive couple who delight in torturing their helpless victims. There's a plot here, but does that really matter if you're in to movies like this? It's a pretty basic formula with the main characters doing the usual stupid things that not only gets them in to this situation but prolongs the torture when they avoid the obvious and/or "freeze" at the plot-necessary points. I don't know why the people that make these things don't get it but I have little sympathy for idiots that fail to take advantage of their opportunities. For instance, if the sadistic, creepy, degenerate villain appears to be incapacitated (but maybe not quite dead) finish the scum off!!! If he manages to resurrect despite his horrific wounds well, I think the idiot that screws up should die.There's nothing special here except for a few torture scenes. A not so clever twist at the end just doesn't work. In fact, it's just plain stupid. It's such an overtly obvious twist that anybody with a bit of intelligence would have come up with something better. And the ending only gets worse since they drag it out beyond any necessary point.It is what it is, and on one level it's just fine. If you're not looking for gore and violence you won't bother with this. The ending is just plain stupid and totally pathetic. It's a bit better then most of the flotsam of this genre but nothing special.
