Faces in the Crowd Audience Reviews

Wordiezett So much average
Greenes Please don't spend money on this.
Listonixio Fresh and Exciting
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
FlashCallahan Milla Jovovich plays a woman whom, after an encounter with a serial killer, injures herself and causes a condition where she cannot control her facial recognition. So only Julian McMahons beard, and ties being worn can help her. When a prolific actor or actress stars in a straight to DVD movie, you know that there must be problems, even ultraviolet had a cinema release. And there are huge problems with this movie, despite the concept being sound. The main problem is, they play this like a horror movie, whereas it could have worked much better as a thriller, an intelligent thriller, rather than having her guess who is who.The cast are okay, but look so out of place, and for the most part, McMahon looks really embarrassed to be this, and on occasion, Jovovich looks and acts like a cyborg. Its aiming for the whodunit crowd, but this would have been made in 1992 with Michael Douglas and Madeleine Stowe. But when you think about if, it was made in the nineties.Has anyone seen Blink, or Jennifer 8?Pointless.
kosmasp If I'd be rating the concept/idea of the movie, I would be praising it as much as I could. I was fascinated by it and what possibilities there are lying within it. Unfortunately though the movie does very little with it. And that is being modest. Also calling this predictable would be a major understatement. It will be hard to find anyone else than Millas character who doesn't know who the culprit is, almost right away. While another reviewer pointed out similarities between this and Julias Eyes, I'd suggest if you only want to watch one movie, make it Julias Eyes. Coherent and much better than this. Though I like Milla, this isn't her best work either. But with a script like that, ruining a good concept, what else do you expect. So I am being nice giving this 4 points
kaysild Spoiler:So wow this was pretty intense and good, too bad I knew the killer at the beginning but it was still good, very very sad tho I wish he'd of got to see his daughter, that part had me almost teary, almost. I kept thinking man he'd of really been happy to see that she ended up pregnant! & what a great dad he'd of been! So sad and pretty different from any other movie. I tend to like movies others don't and not like ones others do haha so maybe that's why I liked this one so much more than most, but it was a different type of plot and very interesting and very well made. Def recommend and would watch again. Is worth the watch for sure
Roedy Green The brilliance of this movie is they keep you confused about the identity of each character by using dozens different actors for each character, morphing, makeup etc. Just like the heroine, you can't remember what each character really looks like. The changes start out subtle, so it feels like your memory is faulty. You experience the world partially through the eyes of the heroine who cannot distinguish faces. Voices, builds etc. are not distinctive either. This ambiguity of identity greatly enhances the problem of the heroine knowing whom she can trust. It is a traditional horror movie where the heroine refuses to take sensible precautions, and keeps putting herself at mortal risk. This movie works because the heroine is so vulnerable and because the villain takes such sadistic pleasure in teasing her with her strange vulnerability. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I normally find the genre boring.
