That was an excellent one.

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

Well, as per my end of year tradition, I always watch one concert and one comedy special, and I decided to choose "Dress to Kill". This is the only Eddie Izzard show I've seen and it might as well be the only one, because it is that good. It's not very often you see an over 2 hour comedy show that manages to keep you laughing all the way through. I could go on to name the segments he does, but I think that ruins the surprise of waiting for what's to come. Let's just say this is one of my absolute favorite comedy shows, Eddie has a way to take some of the most random things and make them the funniest thing you can think of. I have a few other shows in mind for the end of this year, but there's 364 days between now and then. Who knows where we'll all be by then? I don't, and that's the exciting part. Ciao!

In my opinion, this is the best stand-up show I have ever seen. I became an instant Eddie fan after seeing Dress to Kill, but I must say I think this is his best work. I would say, though, if you ever get the chance to definitely go see him live. It is worth it!Most of the time after seeing a stand-up routine a couple times, the jokes start to get old. But I have to say, I've seen this show SO many times that I literally have the entire thing memorized (which yes, I realize is kinda sad) but every joke still makes me laugh. This is truly a feel good show.Dress to Kill will never get old for me. I own it and watch it anytime I need a good laugh.

I managed to tape this off my satellite, but I would love to get an original release in a format we can use here in the States. Eddie truly is Glorious in this performance from San Francisco. I don't remember laughing so hard at a stand up routine. My wife and I both enjoyed this tape and his work on Glorious I just wish I could buy a copy and help support Eddie financially through my purchase. We need more of his shows available.

This show, originally shown on HBO, showcases the masterful, brilliant, wandering mind of actor/comedian Eddie Izzard. Not so much standup as a hilarious one man performance piece, Izzard roams through history (European and American), transvestitism (his own), film, and even the literary value of Scooby Doo. Classic pieces include the "cake or death" version of the creation of the Church of England and Gunther Heimlich's invention of his very own maneuver! All Izzard's videos beg for repeated viewings, but Dress to Kill is the cream of the crop. Don't miss it!
