Due Date Audience Reviews

More Review
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Frances Chung Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Lela The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
muvi-fan-73 I would directly get to the points I would like to discuss. Zach Galifianakis - this was the second instance I saw him on big screen. Before watching him here, I saw him in Hangover. For me, it was as if the actor is really like that. It took me watching, an interview of his that he was acting out everything. As the movie ran I enjoyed every instance, until Zach disclosed he had all stuff belonging to Robert. Even I wanted him to get punished. It was as if Zach has almighty's hand on his head that everything that was inflicted on him, more came onto the inflictor. I really wanted Robert to reach his wife delivery before time with cent percent wellness. If that would have happened the movie would have gained an extra point.
cricketbat I liked this movie better when it was called Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Maybe it's because I'm not a Zach Galifianakis fan, but I didn't find Due Date to be very funny. It's just awkward and annoying with a few small laughs mixed in.
Dave This is a better version of Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Most people say it's an inferior copy of PT&A, but Due Date is much funnier. Robert Downey Jr and Zack Galifianakis are excellent together as chalk and cheese characters. Due Date is less funny towards the end, but it's still one of the funniest comedies of the decade.
Python Hyena Due Date (2010): Dir: Todd Phillips / Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Jamie Foxx, Michelle Monaghan, Juliette Lewis: Another exhausted road movie comedy full of stupid clichés. This one not only regards the soon-to-be birth of Robert Downey Jr.'s kid, but it also regards his sudden situation where he is forced to be civil to someone who is a complete moron. Downey Jr. is forced into a road trip with Zach Galifianakis, an aspiring actor who wishes to dump his father's ashes in the Grand Canyon. As predicted, they get into various mishaps that are unbelievable while becoming best pals. This sounds vaguely familiar. Maybe it is because Planes,Trains and Automobiles handled this storyline much more effectively. Downey Jr is a capable actor just coming off two blockbusters so this is no advance for him. Galifianakis was likable in The Hangover but here he is downright pathetic. Michelle Monaghan as Downey Jr.'s wife is wasted in phone contacts. It is a given that she will go into labor and Galifianakis will do something that will gain Downey Jr's good graces. Jamie Foxx is the one interesting character who is suspected of foul play with Monaghan, and who actually assists them with transportation that one point. Juliette Lewis is apparently playing the same character she played in another Todd Phillips comedy, Old School, where she was much more fun to watch. Directed by Todd Phillips as a lazy followup to his masterpiece The Hangover. Expect none of that clever comic expertize here although watching the film itself has got to be in equal manner with a hangover. Score: 2 ½ / 10
