Dub Echoes Audience Reviews

Contentar Best movie of this year hands down!
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Usamah Harvey The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
freekkeesen Dub Echoes tells the story about the come up of reggae and how the dub techniques still echoes through all sorts of music genres. The introduction already shows that a lot of music-legends are involved: Thievery Corporation, Basement Jaxx, Lee Perry, Bunny Lee, King Tubby, Beat Junkies, Kode 9, Roots Manuva and many others. As a documentary, Dub Echoes might not be the most entertaining you will ever see. It's mostly interviews, luckily the interviewed are all influential people in the world of music. Some of the interviewed talk kind of slow (probably stoned?). I guess you got to be interested in dub/reggae or at least in making music.Anyhow the musically not-knowing people must be educated, so show 'em this documentary. Because instrumentals, remixes, mixed tapes and block parties are all founded by the dub music scene.
