Dhoom 2 Audience Reviews

Lovesusti The Worst Film Ever
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Anoushka Slater While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Jakoba True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
Sjhm But if you wanted Shakespeare, why are you watching this movie? It's colourful, fun, the characters are attractive, they all burst into song and dance about, there are no sordid and entirely gratuitous scenes of either sex or extreme and gut churning brutality. It all hangs together reasonably well, and moves from set piece to set piece almost seamlessly. Yes, the stunts are way over the top, and yes, you do have to dig deep a couple of times to suspend disbelief (the opening Jetski stunt pretty much defies the laws of physics and gravity simultaneously)... but... come on...this is a high-octane romp! And as such it's attractive, inventive and silly. Perfect kick back material for those of us who are tired of the over-sexed extreme brutality of Hollywood movies. I really don't mind if bits of it are ripped off from other places, because I don't go through a movie looking for those sorts of things. The only real downer for me was Jai, Mr Grumpy Misery-Guts... who basically took the grumpy, hen-pecked husband thing just a bit too far, although even he forgets to be miserable when he's dancing. It is neither Shakespeare nor Saw... and frankly, all the better for it.One could rhapsodise endlessly about Hrithik Roshan's dancing and acting. He steals every scene he's in. The infamous lip-lock scene which got people all hot under the collar is one of the sweetest, most tender bits of cinema I've seen in a long time, coming at the end of a scene of high emotion that is the pivotal moment of the film. His acting is sublime - I've seen a few comments around about "The Queen" that she's ugly etc... my answer, look a little closer... work it out... she's a he. Yes, under all that make-up it IS Hrithik. I had to look twice. The same with the old cleaner, although you do get the odd hint before the big reveal. Anyway, Hrithik climbs into the skin of each and every character disguise he dons in the film. And his dancing is mind-blowing, Hrithik can really bust those moves, in the dance sequences he really gives it his all. Okay, this is for the female portion of the audience... but the songs are not intrusive and actually do advance the action of the story.Aish is cute and pretty... and that is her job... to be cute and pretty and have Hrithik's character, Aryan, fall for her. She does it admirably. Within the confines of what her character does in the story, she plays the part well enough.I actually like the Monali character far more than the Shonali version, especially in the scene where she suggests to Jai that he could have stopped Mr A by shooting and killing him, although the scenes where she threatens to shoot Ali are a bit nasty too. Shonali has a bit of a mean streak; Monali is a bit potty and sweet, and as such the perfect foil for Ali.Ali (Uday Chopra) is annoying to start with, but he grows on you. The song where he woos and wins Monali is rather charming, and his loyalty to Jai is almost unquestioning. This isn't Shakespeare. There are some glaring plot holes, not the least the chase sequence through the tunnel. And yes the end is a little schmalzy... but come on... this is a popcorn film, the cast are clearly enjoying themselves, and their enthusiasm is infectious. Kick back and enjoy it on the level of what it is, fun escapist entertainment.
long-ford This overlong sequel to Dhoom has a much bigger budget. Hrithik Roshan takes on the role of the villain and is coolness personified. The stunts are all very impressive by Hindi film standards, apart from an opening number on a train. Bipasha Basu and Aishwarya provide the glamor element and both look stunning. Aishwarya has a catchy dance number "Crazy Kiya Re". Uday is fine while poor Abhishek is saddled with the boring conventional role. The story makes little sense but the film is well-paced, and the fine stunts and dance numbers are enough to merit a visit to the theater.Overall 7/10
Dream_Woman There was so much hype about this film before it released, even though i haven't seen the first one i decided to go and watch this as 2 of my favourite actors are in the film Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachan, i really like Uday Chopra too he was very funny in this film.Hrithik plays the villain in this film called A, he works all over the world and is very hard to catch. So the police officers in the film Ash, Abhishek, Uday and Bipasha try to come up with the plan to catch him.Hrithik plays his part very well and his dancing rocked, he sort of had this sexy,Italian look too also. Ash Was okay i guess but playing a sexy cop so does not suit her, it had me in stitches lol, and as for Bipasha??? what the hell was she doing in the film? her part was just useless and she did not look good in a bikini LMAO, as a woman in my opinion she not that good looking and can't act if her life depended on it. Uday was great and so was Abhishek, the ending was pretty crap but most of the film was okay i guess, i really liked the music, Ash danced really well in "crazy kiya ri". Um well it's up to you if you want to go and watch it.
dutta_bond I found Dhoom 2 is an excellent movie. The reason it Its the best Hindi movie I have seen till now. The story line is awesome and you can not look elsewhere the way events are followed one by another. Every time you will surprised by the event and thrilled as well which is very uncommon in Hindi movies. This makes you watch the movie multiple times. Leading actors are extremely fluent in their roles and that what I look for in a good movie. Though there are some unpractical effects but they are very much acceptable as long you find them practical while you are watching the movie. The way hrithik acted made us believe is those actions. I think the main purpose of this movie is to entertain people and thats what the title says also. Its in top that category no doubt....dhoom2 rally rocks.
