Gary Oldman is Lynch, a strangely charming hit man in this explosively funny dark comedy in the tradition of Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. With an all-star cast including Terence Stamp, Elena Anaya, Robert Carlyle and Billy Zane, Dead Fish is a chaotic tale of criminals looking for love, money and revenge that will have you falling out of your chair laughing!

Dead Fish Audience Reviews

Glucedee It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
ActuallyGlimmer The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Bene Cumb Dead Fish is one of the films the Brits are famous for where a small event triggers a sequence of violent and fatal events. Such films contain plenty of mixing ups, peculiar characters, betrayals, and desire for money both by "good" (petty scamps, debtors, idlers) and "evil" (killers, mobsters, robbers) characters. And those are played by good or great actors: here the most outstanding are Gary Oldman, Robert Carlyle and Karel Roden whose performance does smoothen several shortcomings or immoderate scenes in the plot. As for the latter, the first half is stronger and more interesting, the remaining has lingerings and ends with trivial culmination. Nevertheless, it is pleasant to watch (especially due to the actors mentioned above) plus several scenes are really witty and amusing. 7 points for sure from me!
milosz_b I must admit I quite enjoyed this film. I think it works best as an over-the-top parody of such movies as "Lock, stock..." or "Snatch". The plot makes no sense, rhyme or reason. If you're after a cohesive plot, you'd better look elsewhere. The characters are at times funny and at the same time verging on annoying (think the character played by Brad Pitt in "Snatch", only stretched to the entire cast and entire duration of the film). Absolutely no way for suspension of disbelief here. So, again, if getting immersed in an action film is your thing, look elsewhere. All in all: noisy, clumsy, over-the-top, silly, but for some unknown reason the overall experience for me was actually not so terrible.
Hugues Boisvert I rent that movie and there is a reason why I never heard about that film, it's because it is part of the worst movies that I ever saw in my life. Seriously. Everything in that movie is poor; including the actors and, despite the fact that they are all recognized people such as Gary Oldman, Billy Zane and Terence Stamp, I found they were all sadly poor in the movie. It is a story without style, completely pathetic and surprisingly complex without any reason. I found it hard to follow but I think the movie is just badly directed and built. And, by all these facts, it is a very boring movie. Without surprise, I even wanted to pull me a bullet in the head in the middle of the movie. This a little production who thinks that the only ingredient needed to make a good movie is great actors, but that reveals a lack of professionalism and that is what the film principally suffers. Maybe not watching that movie is the best choice to do.
jeroen-136 This movie seems to aim at the same public as snatch would, but the movie doest't even come close to that. When we started to watch the movie my girlfriend said in the first view minutes "bad movie". I like to stay a little more optimistic in these cases but in this case it was false. You can't really get a grip on the movie. It does't take you trough the story. The worst is when the killer starts singing. I really was wondering WTF is going on now. Later on the killer again is talking about his love for the girl. Then I started feeling some sort of shame and hope he would't start singing again...It is not the worst movie i have seen but it really is not what I expected.
