The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

A story that's too fascinating to pass by...

I think it was a nice movie to have fun for couple of hours and then forget about it. If you are looking for a relax time, i can recommend this movie. This is a teen romantic comedy that gives you exactly what you expect. They meet, they fell in love, nothing surprising or shocking but not cheesy. The performances are quite good, and the movie drag you inside but that's it. Don't expect anything revolutionary or inspiring except for having 2 hours fun. Actually, I realized only after the half of the movie that I saw this movie before. So, yes. I watch this movie twice just because I forgot that I watch it before. Long story short, it is a fun movie just to watch and forget about it until you watch it again.

Daydream Nation was a very interesting movie. When i first watched it , I didn't quite understand it. The story line wasn't really matching up for me. Then I understood what was going on the further I got into the film. the love triangle, the pain, and the bipolar emotions, it was all becoming very clear. the director did an OK job at telling the story. for me it could have been clearer and more precise on what was really going on in the film. Maybe it wads just me. the mood of the film was very dreary. The only really happy part of the movie was the ending. i really don't know who I would recommend this movie to. there are not many people that I know who would really understand this film. Overall it was an OK movie.

Wow, what a surprise this movie was. I was ready for the typical cheesy Twilight-like lovelorn teenage romance and what I got instead was an incredibly fun ride through the dark side of those hormone-driven years. This film managed to take a lot of elements you've seen before and mashed them together in such a funny, sweet and unexpected way that it came out the other end as what will probably be thought of us a modern teenage classic. Maybe that sounds too generous...but really...this movie caught me off-guard. Reading some of the reviews by those who didn't like it all I can say is they seemed to have missed the subtlety and the humor and the way it mixes trash culture (teenage films) with artier culture (maybe French New Wave? Danish films?) in a manner that reminded me of...well...Sonic Youth. The story is simple. A teenage girl moves to a small town. Bored there she begins to sleep with he teacher who seems like he's a deep and intelligent literary-type but turns out to be emotionally needy and craven. So the girl takes an interest in a boy her age whose only romance up 'til then was with his weed-pipe. The movie crackles with energy and tension. But I should warn you, it's does not feel like your average American teen film. Those looking to have everything telegraphed to them--especially the humor--will be disappointed. For those who like their teen dreams more nuanced, this is a new classic in a tiny but fun genre.

What the F..., I was right, I should have stopped watching this movie at 15 minutes. Here are some notes I took while watching this BS. 25 year old teen agers are cool. Drugs are cool, writer is a anti-Christ. Industrial fire, incest line, serial killer, science class drugs, hipster song track during pedophile sex, guns are evil Larry, Jesus Freaks are silly, bathroom slut with cool hip lines, converts another girl into a slut, drugs are still cool, hipster song sex again. Xmas party slut, metro sexual hair color, hipster song at happy ending. I guess this feeds the CIA propaganda. Looks like a lot of sheep enjoyed this. I searched it and it seems like this is a thought of as a good movie.
