Lack of good storyline.

Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.
Casey Duggan
It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
Allison Davies
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

I've always thought that when it comes to inspirational or movies with faith themes, people get confused about the difference between "Sinful Content" and "Genre". They are not the same thing. It seems that whenever the faith-based community wants to do anything that would be considered an action film it has to be an End Times thriller. And I have never understand why. Their are Soilders who are Christian, there are cops who are Christian, all of who are brave men and are our last line of defense. So why can't the Christian community make a movie about these brave men. In my opinion Alan Caggiano just did! I can only hope he does it again.

Great film with an intelligent plot and outstanding action! The film takes place in New England, a refreshing departure from the redundant NY and LA backdrop constantly seen in films. The movie also has an "atmosphere" to it. You can feel a depth as you watch it, knowing that it's not just some action flick. Most films "look" great but as they unfold they unravel. This film gets tighter and tighter, growing from a "maybe" to "wow, this is getting pretty good" to "what in the world... that was awesome!" There are so many bad movies out there that it is refreshing to see an exciting film like this, that delivers for a change. If you like movies the way they use to be, you'll love "Dark Disciple"!

Saw this movie 3 times and I rarely ever see a movie twice! Tt was excellent! Great plot, Good vs Evil! Superb acting, it wasn't until the 2nd time I saw it that I realized some of the actors played several roles! My favorite part was when the Detective who lost his family to a drunk driver awakens to life around him and decides to get back in the game of life transforming himself into the person he once was by getting back into shape, mentally and physically! This was a Thriller that kept us on the edge of our seats! Music was outstanding and contributed to the suspense. We were entertained which is what we want to be when we go to the movies. We hope to see more from this talented producer.

Can a small budget, local film deliver with Hollywood blockbuster effects? The answer is YES, as filmmaker/producer/actor Allan Caggiano proves with his premiere release of "Dark Disciple". Shot on location in Massachusetts, this film delivers outstanding acting, effects and cinematography on a very small budget. You forget about this while watching the film, however; it's that good.Enter the first iconic villain of the decade, a menacing character called the Dark Disciple. Combining a spectacular display of original weapons and martial arts, "Dark Disciple" unfolds in the small fishing town of Laresett. The villain keeps local law enforcement busy while imparting his unique brand of terror on the unsuspecting populace, all to cover up a deeper motive. It has an effective plot, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. The release has great timing, too, right before Halloween! The difference in this endeavor is that it's not merely an exciting thriller but one with a message, of perseverance and hope in the midst of personal tragedy. Mr. Caggiano has managed to carefully construct several elements into a feature length offering that leaves you very little time to catch your breath before the next exciting turn!
