Such a frustrating disappointment
FirstWitch
A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Nayan Gough
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

If you like tough, beautiful and deadly women or if you like naked young women, this is the film for you. Shannon Whirry is a very beautiful woman and hercharacter is kidnapped and taken to a mansion where gorgeous young womenare trained as deadly assassins. I liked the way each of the women were given silicon chip implants that kill! So there assassinations are basically do or die assignments. Kiara Hunter was also a very beautiful actress. If you liked her in this film you should also see her in the science-fiction film 'Sleeping Dogs' 1997. Though I personally preferred Shannon Whirry, so you should look out for more films staring her.

DANGEROUS PREY came as a bit of a surprise for me. I didn't think they still made these ridiculous, B-grade women-in-prison action flicks, but they are. I decided to watch since Shannon Whirry (my favorite contemporary cheese actress, a woman who once used to act in Broadway productions believe it or not) was the star. I wasn't disappointed with the results. She stars as Robin, a beautiful stunt woman living in Europe with her no-good boyfriend. One night, she is kidnapped and taken to a women's prison, actually secret training grounds to produce seductive female vigilantes. But Robin is no weak heroine, she holds her own, sticking it to the wardens lesbian advances and butch inmates and excelling at the obstacle courses and target ranges. She eventually leads a revolt with some other inmates and decides to plan an escape. All of this, as you can tell, is rather ridiculous, but director Simandl adds a nice amount of gratuitous shower and lesbian scenes, eccentric characters, action, explosions, some high tech gadgetry and more. It's quite a step up from other similar efforts.Score: 6 out of 10.

This is not legitimate entertainment by my own standards. As you can see, DANGEROUS PREY is another "femme fatale" showcase that provides anxious hunks some low-grade action that has borrowed every cliche' in the book. It defines as a "damsel-in-distress" show in my dictionary, and that's sayin' it! Shannon Whirry holding a gun on the front box cover is the reason to get excited. Well, DUH!!! What's with all the lesbians, the nudity, the S&M??? They have absolutely NOTHING in connection with this supposed-to-be action thriller, don't you agree?! Movie writers and directors need to come up with better talents in putting a figurine out to play "Kill" instead of throwing in some useless sex and wasted duplications. So far, nothing's changed.
