Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

Although Dancing Ninja has some amusing moments ultimately it fails to make the grade. I don't think young Lucas Grabeel has a future in martial arts films.Grabeel is a young man who was washed up from a shipwreck as a toddler and was raised by Asian parents in some unnamed Asian land. Trying to find out his origins he travels to America where people who look like him predominate as he is sure his destiny is there.Part of his destiny is that he is convinced he is the prophesied Dancing Ninja who was said to be from a foreign land and Occidental. What laughs there are in this film come from David Hasselhoff who's having a great old time spoofing Steven Segall. Wonder if Hasselhoff will run for governor of some state. Not like some action star hasn't run for governor before.
