Very best movie i ever watch
Afouotos
Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Doomtomylo
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

The novelty of the Crocodile Dundee movies has definitely wore thin in this sequel. Even if Paul Hogan is still at his charismatic best. I found only one laugh out loud moment. Weak villains, some poor acting, plot holes and some poorly staged action set pieces left me feeling a bit flat. Plot In A Paragraph: Following on from the events in the first movie Mick Dundee (Paul Hogan) and Sue Charleston (Linda Kozlowski) are living happily in New York City. Sue's ex husband (mention in passing in the first movie) Bob, is working in Columbia, when he takes photographs of a drug cartel leader committing a murder, and is spotted by one of the cartel's men. He sends the photographs to Sue. Before you know it, the Colombians are in New York City looking to retrieve the film. Linda Kozlowski Is not as effective here as she was in the first movie, I'm not sure what it was about her when they were in New York, but I didn't warm to her. Things picked up from her once they went to Australia. Charles S Dutton is OK as Pretend bad boy Leroy Brown, Luis Guzman is fine in his small role, and i spotted Tatiyana Ali (Ashley from the Will Smith TV show "Fresh Prince Of Bel Air") in her first role as "Park Girl".

After the coinage and all round good will generated by the first Crocodile Dundee movie, the sequel was inevitable. This time the formula is reversed as Mick Dundee (Paul Hogan) is forced to take his lady, Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowski), back to the wilds of Australia in order to protect her from gangsters. There, Mick, with all his Outback skills, starts to pick the gangsters off one by one.Nah. I don't need a gun. I got a Donk!Within the plot structure there are numerous occasions for Dundee inspired jokes and scenarios, where although they are not as strong as in the first movie, they are amusing and not straining for the laugh factor. The genuine chemistry between real life couple Hogan and Kozlowski is evident and keeps the film grounded in warmth. Hogan is such a likable guy, he's a natural at playing the rugged adventurer type, and it's his charisma that rightly drives the picture forward. He throws a great punch as well, very believable.Returning characters like Wally and Donk are reassuring presences, while Charles Dutton as Leroy Brown provides solid comedy foil for Dundee during the New York part of the plot. The Northern Territory of Australia is once again the visual bonus (cinematography again by Russell Boyd), though we never really get the sweeping shots the setting deserves, and Peter Best once again provides an appropriate musical score for the two continent setting without pushing anything new on us. Problems elsewhere? There's a raft of stereotypes, particularly with the Ernie Dingo led villains, while the unoriginality of the story (a rehash of the first film) is a touch frustrating. Not exactly great and not deserving of the ill advised second sequel that followed 13 years later, part 2 of Mick and Sue's adventures is none the less still a fun way to spend an afternoon. 6.5/10

Yes, this is one of those sequels that came out rather quickly following the surprise success of its predecessor. Usually when they release a film so quickly they either literally had a script lined up and ready to film, or they make almost the same film only changing this and that around. Well this movie was most certainly the latter, however, I thought they did a pretty good job. The first film went from out of place person in Australia to out of place person in New York and this one does the opposite. Which I liked, cause I thought the Australia scenes of the first film were more entertaining than yet another film set in the most overshot city in the world New York. Sorry, I have seen it quite enough on the big screen. They do a good job of finding a reason for Crocodile and the love of his life to have to return to the outback as a drug dealer is on their heels and what better place to go than to a place Crocodile knows like the back of his hand and the people pursuing them do not know at all. Still, there is a lot of sameness to this one as some of the same jokes are recycled which happens a lot in comedy sequels even today. Still, it was an okay film, a lot like the first film if you were to watch it backwards.

I admit this movie is a guilty pleasure of mine. Paul Hogan is back as Mick Dundee and still has all his charm an that character, teamed with Linda Kozlowski as Sue Charlton they have a great chemistry together. The Australasian ensemble was quite good and entertaining, I cannot say the same thing about the New York characters who I found just plain moronic (which is the main reason I do not give the movie a higher rating). The movie is well paced and I was never bored watching it. The action is good and Paul Hogan is as good as any other of the action stars of his time. There are some great camera shots of the Northern Territories and the editing work is well done. The movies plot is basically Sues ex is killed in Columbia taking photos of drug cartel activity and sends the film to Sue. The drug lords kidnap Sue trying to get the film back. Mick rescues Sue and off to Australia they go Mick being Sues bodyguard with the drug lord in hot pursuit. This makes for a basic action flick. With Paul Hogans comic charm this movie is not that bad to sit through.Grade B-
