It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

The premise of this horror is pretty simple and easy to understand, and they use it wonderfully with the characters. More than likely you will figure out the surprise before the end, though it it is not something I've commonly seen before. That said this movie hinges on it's ending, and delivers a very anti-climatic end. I'm all for a sad, depressing, and or disturbing ending, even if it makes me feel sick and i hate the ending, IF the end fits. This end reminds me of the theatrical end to "Butterfly Effect" vs the director's cut ending, jammed in, simple, stupid, and lack luster compared to the director's cut where your eyes are enormous, jaw hanging slack as every little minor detail finally clicks into place. When the end of any thriller or horror movie makes you say "Oh... OK" that is a failure. THRILL ME! I want to be excited to watch it again and see if i missed anything.

I just chose this movie because it seemed more like a thriller sci- fi movie than a grotesque horror movie. The beginning of the movie starts right off the bat with action and big things happening, there was certainly no 20-30 start-up scene that lays the whole backstory. Not that this is a bad approach, it is just confusing to figure out what is going on and why each little thing matters towards the end of the movie. There are a couple events in this movie that don't make perfect sense for a while and I think that is why many people call this movie just like "Aliens" or similar to resident evil. Other than the beginning, where they have beeping motion trackers, the movie quickly goes away from seeming like "Aliens". (the movie is called Crawlspace so it is all in tight spaces which "Aliens" does a lot of as well..)There is are a few odd sci-fi aspects to this movie that made me give it a 7, along with it's confusing beginning. But no doubt! this movie rocked. The twists in the plot the come out over time are really entertaining. After watching the movie you start to think about the beginning and now knowing what you just learned, could probably go back and make perfect sense of it all. What the main characters go through the whole time and resolve at the end is just great. This movie proves a lot. You don't need huge budgets and top of the line actors to make a great movie. You can find foreign movies with actors you may not recognize and be thoroughly entertained. This movie is not perfect by any means, but it is a hidden gem that most people will never see.

This is Science Fiction. But it's not Interstellar, 2001 or anything similar to those movies. No it's low budget. And considering the budget this had, I have to admit I was really impressed. The look of the movie is great (Blu Ray) and the acting is not bad either. There is not much story, but what you get is enough to hold your attention. The movie does get violent though, so it's not for the squeamish. Twists can be foreseen, but it's the way everything is handled and I'm willing to stress that out again. Set design, lighting and everything else is pretty solid, which adds to a great look. The movie can be fun, if you are willing to accept a few slight missteps here and there. It's not a classic or anything, but it's way better than a lot of other movies that try and you can see the purity and passion they put into it

So we watched Crawlspace this morning and while it's not as bad as some movies I have seen( like Amber Alert ) , it was no where near any good either. Thru most of it I felt like I was watching a cheap rip off of Aliens or that at the very least they had borrowed some of the set. Maybe it was just the soldiers with weapons, head gear, and proximity monitors crawling thru tunnels that made me feel like that. It may have been a better movie with a few face-huggers thrown in. There is also a small touch of Scanners towards the end. I had hopes it would have been at least interesting or , like Wolf Creek and Undead, made me afraid to ever go to Australia. But, unfortunately it just left me bored. I still Am Never going to Australia but that was a different movie.
