I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

Movie: Cold Eyes (15)Rating: 5/5I was willing to watch this film since quite long. The trailer was very impressive and the posters too excited me to watch it soon. Finally, I saw it yesterday and was totally impressed. Not for a single moment did it let me move. Right from the first shot, COLD EYES pulled me into its atmosphere and engaged from start to end.Han Hyo-joo is amazing. It's a pleasure to see an actress like her step into this genre. She's pretty, of course, and not just her looks but even her strong performance won't let you take your eyes off her. Sol Kyung-gu: mastermind genius! He's such a great actor. His performance is excellent and is to be watched out for. Jung Woo-sung: EXCELLENT. He's not just a manly, handsome actor but also a strong performer. These three actors are simply one of the best things about this film, apart from the tight screenplay, stunning action sequences, splendid cinematography and edge of the seat thrills. The film has rich production values. What also impressed me is that the directors have not wasted even a single second and have told the story very skilfully. COLD EYES, undoubtedly is one of the best action thriller films, ever, ever, ever. It's so good that I would love to see it again and again and again. It has got a great repeat value.

i have never heard about this movie before but today i was surfing the net looking for a good action movie and because i love Korean movies i stumbled upon this great piece of entertainment.the movie starts with a very spectacular heist executed precisely by an armed gang with the supervision of a man that seems like he doesn't wanna get his hands dirty (i was wrong about him) instead he instructs his gang members from an elevated position he is basically the architect of the heist.on the other side a group of high tech police squad that chooses it's recruits carefully as they have to be very brilliant in many aspects in this demanding field and the chase begins in this action packed edge of seat thriller.this movie is simply a chase that lasts like 3 days if i'm not wrong involving followings stakeouts and bugging houses in order to identify the members of the bank robbers as they plan another even more daring heist. the directors kept the same pace through the whole movie in order to give the audience a feel that time is running out or rather a feel of doing something risky and trying to get away with it. they also focused on the Villain of this movie who in my opinion stole the show with his intelligence and fighting skills as he manages to stay one step ahead of the police the entire time.and how can i disregard the brilliant camera-work and the editing that despite the nature of most of the action happening in this movie still manages to capture every single thing. overall this is a great cops and robbers movie with some good thrills and fight scenes. my rating 7.5/10

Hello, I will be your reviewer for the rest of this paragraph. As your reviewer, I can tell you that this thriller is one of the best of its kind ever produced anywhere in the world, and you will not be bored. In fact, you will be superbly entertained. The bad news is that, as your reviewer, I cannot tell you precisely how they pulled this off. Let me be clearer -- these sorts of "team" cop shows have been around since the 1930s G-Man pictures. In the 60s we had Mission Impossible with a dozen knockoffs in the decades that followed. Robert Redford liked this specific format a lot and did one or two in this vein. Still -- this is the point -- you have never really seen a "task force" cop film until you have seen this one. Somehow this film offers a perfect balance -- enough idiosyncratic characters to form a connection; yet simultaneously enough technology and team action to make the experience more like a sports movie (any team sport) than a simple crime film. In the west, we glorify the individual. In the east, not so much. Perhaps that is the secret? But one thing for sure - great film.

This tells the operations of a team of surveillance officers tracking some most wanted criminals in South Korea.Piggy is a new recruit into the surveillance team, and her initial test to see if she has photographic memory is already very impressive. When she is on the field and put to test, she and her team continues to excel in all ways possible. The technology they used, their analytical power and their brilliant skills dazzle viewers. The numerous close shaves keep viewers on edge, and there were many occasions I could feel myself holding my breath, waiting for critical events to unfold.I have watched a few Korean films lately, and I have been thoroughly impressed by all of them. "Cold Eyes" continues the streak of great Korean films to be exported abroad, as it is a thriller that cuts right to the chase and keeps you on edge throughout the film. If you have the chance, go watch "Cold Eyes".
