I love this movie so much

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.

Chaos is about a suspended detective (Statham) who is teamed up with a rookie detective (Ryan Phillippe) to catch a bank robber (Snipes). The bank robber did not steal any money but used a computer virus (based on the Chaos theory, hence the title of the movie) to transfer millions of dollars away from the bank. When the bank robber then starts killing off his accomplices, things get messy for our detectives. The story of Chaos is interesting and the movie starts great with the hostage situation in the bank. After that, however, the movie crawls to a very slow speed when Statham and Phillipe try to work out what has happened. There are some good action moments later on but there are to few to make it a good action movie. It could have been a crime thriller, but unfortunately there is hardly any suspense build up in the movie. The actors (with the exception of Phillipe, who was the only believable character) are all incredible dull and some are just reading their lines. Statham was also miscast, he cannot play a detective with a traumatic past, he is just Statham. Seeing him teamed up with a rookie reminded me of Snatch, but that movie is full of black comedy and cool gangsters, which this movie also lacked. There is a twist at the end, but they did such a poor job with suspense building that I couldn't care any more when it was revealed. Chaos is a mediocre and disappointing movie which could have worked with better acting and suspense building.

This is proof once again that you should not believe every review from the professional movie critics. This is another good Jason Statham movie that is worth watching for its interesting plot development, twists and characters. You really connect with some of the characters in the movie and their motives which all appear realistic. This is not just another shoot em up police flick that Hollywood keeps churning out where the good guy always wins in the end when the upbeat music comes on. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a good action flick which does not depend on an entirely predictable plot line with a one track focus on a single Bruce Willis like hero to head the cast list.

This is a Movie which I like more than any Hollywood or Blockbuster Movies, because this one is having a good and somehow realistic plot with very good acting. Keep up Jason ;) This isn't the same **** like all this Action Movies, this is what a Movie must look like. I liked the End most, because of the surprise, and all those things, which you didn't expected. It was really entertaining me. I was very wondering and kinda sad when I found out that only a few people know this movie, because this was really one of the best I saw and i am not lying :) Hope you liked the movie as much as me and hope I helped you. ... But not so much really. Guess that's why I had never heard of it before I saw it listed in the satellite guide. Snipes and Statham, should be reasonably good, but the plot, dialog, and plot devices were just painful. After the setup and opening scenes, we are at a bank robbery hostage situation; the bank blows up, and all the hostages and robbers escape in the confusion. I mean explosions that blow the facade off a building almost never hurt the people inside, right? And then when the police were staking out the bad guys, and one of the police officers' pager goes off causes a shoot out; I almost deleted the recording right then and there. Also, Phillippe really can't pull off the smart / tough cop character he is trying to play.Thecnically the film looked good, and there were a couple of interesting plot twists in the second half that surprised me, but the poor dialog and improbable plot devices just over powered what little good was in the movie. It might be good enough to keep teenage boys entertained for two hours.
