Reno Rangan I think it was a much better film. I just wanted a good entertainment and I got that. Though the story is not fresh enough. In fact, it is comparable to the recent sports-biopic, I mean that came much later to this, 'Eddie the Eagle'. Looks even the filmed location was same. Quite similar theme when it comes to the sporting events, but there's a wide gap on how it was played and by whom.From the director of 'All about Steve'. Firstly, it was a sport film and then romance attached to it in the required opening slot. So pretty inspiring to focus on something in our life to reach the heights. There's no shortcuts, it's always a hard work. In the film, that concept was funnily told. Encountering a new world, and discovering new things. It includes friendship, love and dedication in what one believes in.Great cast, except the love interest of Felicity Jones. He wasn't bad, but the chemistry did not work, even in the short span of their romance in the tale. Anyway, the romance parts were too cliché, but neglectable as it has little value. Because there are other reasons to like the film. The stunts are not extraordinary, just simple and realistic. The film will work for most of the people if they're not expecting too much. This is not some chick flick, a better film than that.6.5/10

annevejb Around November 2012 I was re-watching the Worst Witch series and sequels yet again and updating two of my review – comments and, surprise, surprise, the Blockbuster special low price second hand Blu-ray I purchased, Chalet Girl, it turns out that it is Felicity Jones, WW season 1 and Weirdsister, Ethel Hallow, in the lead. In a nice girl role, too, no grit in the screen persona.Somehow, Chalet turned out to be the sort of story that I could watch dreamily, all the way through, first viewing. Even the part when Felicity is 95% naked, she wears small hand puppets. Update, gloves and a hat.I found the second viewing, an hour later on the same day, to be dreamy as well.Mostly it was not possible to see that it was the same actress as for that early Ethel, occasionally very. As with Ashley Tisdale, she can grunge down or pretty up. Also, she is now ten years older, mid twenties rather than mid teens.Austrian winter sports scenery as an added extra. Tamsin Egerton, etc, as added extras to embellish the chocolate cake. The Blu-ray commentary is Felicity Jones and the director. Somehow I could not rate this as anything other than 10 out of 10. I keep the rating at that in order to remind me just how a big an impact this story had when I first saw it at that particular time.This is too magnificent to be British made.

shead23 Chalet Girl is a feel good movie and offers the viewer comedy, romance and some good photographic shots. Its a film which starts with Felicity Jones (Kim ) delivering a very 'slick' main character role. Her delivery of the part just hit the spot thus you felt you were there with her throughout the movie. I would say its definitely a gender type film, more a 'girly' movie but thats perhaps not fair as it has a 'full rounded' story which would appeal to both genders really. The storyline is simple, opportunity, relationships and fears. The overcoming of all is part of the simplistic joy of the film. I don't agree with comments of the film being boring but perhaps my aforementioned comments re gender would support these negative reviews. The acting was very good and all roles complimented each other, fitting in and all loose ends were tied up. Also it was a pleasure to watch a film which did not need to resort to copious amounts of foul language. A nice, easy, enjoyable film which leaves one feeling lifted and has the 'ahhhh' factor.

cheeky-jackie Hi I won't go into detail about the film because it's not fair on others before I watched this film I was upset and mad at someone but when I was watching this film it took my mind of it and some parts made me laugh.I loved chalet girl it was amazing it was funny and romantic I Really hope they make a second one with the same cast otherwise it Won't be the same. And I would recommend this film to anyone. If I had to rank this film I would give it 99.9% because it basically had everything it had romance, comedy, friendships and all sorts. Some people may disagree and say the film is rubbish and stuff but you should take notice of them so what if they don't like the film other people might and instead of listing to other people you should watch it yourself.
