The U.S. government, eager to protect the nation's avacado supplies, recruits feminist professor Margo Hunt to make contact with the Piranha Women, an all-female tribe who believe men are only good as a source of food. Accompanying Dr. Hunt on her trip are Jim, a guide of questionable competence, and Bunny, a student of unquestionable incompetence.

Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death Audience Reviews

Scanialara You won't be disappointed!
Nonureva Really Surprised!
Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
Dana An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
christopher-underwood This is really rather good and much under rated. Unfortunately it gets put amidst the T&A 'bad' B movie category where it just doesn't belong, although ironically it does begin that way with incompetent men and near naked women bathing in a waterfall. Once properly underway, however, this is a funny film with Bill Maher reminding one of early Robin Williams and cutie, Karen Waldron doing a perfect impression of Goldie Hawn. Shannon Tweed is surprisingly good in the main lead and works well with the others thanks to such a very good script. This is not funny like Airplane and the remit, social satire on sexual politics is a bit narrow but it really is enough to keep you smiling. The scantily clad women are something of a bonus but would be a great disappointment for anyone seeking this out for that reason, and hence, I guess , the less than deserved acclaim this film tend to get. Very much worth a watch.
zeeroover Fun to watch movie that revolves around the so-called eternal fight for dominance between men and women that takes it to the extreme. The movie is clearly intended to be funny and includes many fun dialogs and references to other movies. Even includes a reference to the movie 2001 - a space odyssey. All actors play over the top characters and clearly enjoy themselves making the movie. Bill Maher, Shannon Tweed and Adrienne Barbeau really manage to pull of saying their lines believably. I wonder, however, if they did not regularly had trouble keeping their faces straight. It has some weaknesses with some plot elements but this never really detracts from the fun. I am not sure the makers were fans of the Letterman of Donahue talk shows but I leave you to judge that. In all a fun movie to watch with your friends.
harry-tresoor This is a movie that keeps you giggling for at least three days. I had a hard time to find it, but it was very worth the chase. First, you must look and see some of the original (sleazy) Italian Cannibal movies from the 1970's. Then you have to read the critics on badmovies.org (funny). And then you are all set to enjoy this one. But don't spend your best whiskey on it.Producer and director J.F.Lawton also made 'Under Siege' (1992) and 'Pretty Woman' (1990) and it shows. It is low-budget but it is professionally made, it is funny, clever, hilarious, campy, culty, whatever.Imagine a team of a woman feminist professor, an air-headed teeny bunny and a Crocodile Dundee look-alike going on a jungle expedition - you can't. That's why you must see to believe. In the first half hour you are treated with some not-so-subtle quotes of at least 5 other movies, including Rambo, Superman, Ninja's and Indiana Jones. The quest in the movie is to take out evil Ms. Kurtz - an obvious reference to Cl. Kurtz (Marlon Brando - Apocalypse Now). The end of the Miss is also comparable to that of the Colonel. No surprise that Quentin 'Quote' Tarantino liked this movie. Don't get fooled too much by the culty/campy stamps that are around about this 1989 movie. It is treating some radical feminist issues in a ironic, even sarcastic way. The movie fuelled some fierce discussions on some campuses - but that is all history now.I give it an 8 out of 10 for the great fun.
gridoon With a title like that, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it definitely wasn't a low-low-low-grade comedy with endless pseudo-pointed conversations about the battle of the sexes! The humor is very corny and some of the jokes are telegraphed well before they occur! This still gets a generous rating of two stars, if only because it offers some nice eye-candy, and Karen Mistal, as the bubbleheaded student, is simply amazing.
