To me, this movie is perfection.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Personally I thought it was an excellent movie!! Everything worked well and I loved the casting. For me the storyline flowed along quite nicely. I guess it just depends on what sort of story you are looking for. Jeroen Krabbe as Alex is so seductive in this it makes you shiver with desire. He has a very commanding presence yet with seductive undertones. Alex's "driver" Rolf is brilliantly played by Gary Stretch and his performance is very believable. Everyone's performance I thought was brilliant, it all gelled quite nicely. I can't say too much more without giving hints away but let's just say Zalmon King has indeed done it again!!High marks for a brilliant movie!!

There's not really much to this film. It is impossible to empathize with any of the characters. All that is really left to say about them (pretty much all of them) is that they are a bunch of sick puppies. Even though there was some real talent in the cast, it more or less went for naught. Jeroen Krabbe at least had the talent to pull it off. You won't like his character (at all) but you can at least believe him. The wonderful Joanna Pacula is in this one. Would have liked to have seen more of her. And Caron Bernstein was exquisitely beautiful, and can actually act. She was surprisingly stingy with the nude scenes, though. I guess I'll have to look up some of the old Red Shoe stuff she was in. I can't think of any reason to recommend this movie, in spite of a good cast and reasonable production values for this type of film.

I was pleasantly surprised by this film since it was much more than expected. Both incredibly erotic and featuring subtle and extremely evocative performances by Caron Bernstein and particularly by Jeroen Krabbé. I can't wait for it to be released on dvd, hopefully with director's and actors' commentary and a trailer.
