I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Buffalo Stockyards (1897) This short clocks in at just over a minute, which is pretty long for something from 1897. The title pretty much tells you everything you need to know because the camera is set up in a stockyard where we see several people riding horses by the camera. This certainly appears to be one of the films were the action was staged but either way there's really not too much that happens here. Fans of the films from this era will enjoy seeing what a stockyard looked like back then and I guess horse lovers will enjoy seeing them. Outside of that there's really nothing too special here.
