Blood Ties: The Life and Work of Sally Mann Audience Reviews

KnotMissPriceless Why so much hype?

TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
yossarian100 Sally Mann, a wonderful photographer and a wonderful artist with a strong sense of personal and social values, is willing to stand up for what she believes, what she does, and who she is. The only question is has she harmed her children by making them the subject of a continuing photographic study? No. I think not. If anything, she has passed along to her children a stronger sense of values than she would have had she chosen to take a safer approach, the approach most of us would have taken. This documentary is fair, in that it gives voice to opposing sides, but really gives Sally Mann an opportunity to say what she feels. Well done.
filmsexy This documentary is great. I saw it in my photo class and it is one of the best films I've seen just because Sally Mann is incredible and the filmmaker was there at the perfect time in the lives of the kids. If you have the chance to see this or rent it, I highly advise it.
