joehonaker This is easily Rob Schneider's best effort and it's beyond belief that this movie was never released in theaters especially since it was ready for release at about the same time as that terrible Adam Sandler "Grown Ups" movie.This is one of those movies you can watch over and over and find new things that you missed because you were laughing. This movie takes into consideration all the fears that most men have about going to prison and is one of my few 10 out of 10 ratings. Spectacular movie. I hope he makes more outside the Sandler world. I think the more people that see this movie the more popular it will become. I loved seeing David Carradine playing a super bad-ass again and it only makes you miss him even more now that he's gone.

Floated2 Now before watching this movie and seeing the trailer, I thought it was gonna be another typical unfunny Rob Scheidner movie with a lot of dirty and childish jokes, but then I watched the movie and I was surprised. It was actually pretty good and it had many funny parts. Another thing that I liked about in this movie, is Scheinder's character- Big Stan. This time Rob wasn't a weirdo but he felt like a real person and his acting was pretty good in this.The movie is basically a comedy, revenge theme centering on one man's fear of getting raped in prison. There are not really any 'roll on the floor' moments but the film isn't totally void of its' comedic moments and most will enjoy Rob beating the crap out of everyone. Its also somewhat more serious than his previous films and thats a good thing. It worked in this film. The fight scenes were great.The movie changes is somewhat different in the first half and second half. The first half was him preparing to go to prison (going to court, training with The Master, talking to his wife). The second half deals with a comic prison story. Rob Schneider made the film very entertaining, as the story is very interesting. He also makes you laugh in weird ways. There are quite some of funny moments, the practise sessions, the fights & changes in the prison & lots more. This film didn't make it in the theatres in the and I feel that it should have. IMO it was much better than Deuce Biggolo: European Giggilo. ==== As a rewatch (06/15/18') Big Stan remains an entertaining film. Although the film is very silly and unrealistic, that was mainly the point, At a certain point, we get used to it and it becomes much more engaging. Feeling as if critics were far too harsh on this film and expected something completely different. Years later, this film reminds and is quite similar to 2015's Get Hard starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart.

Paul Celano (chelano) This had to of been a joke. I mean at least the story was OK enough to make me wonder what is going on, but Rob Schneider was strange for this role. He directed it also. Do you think he just woke up and was like, I want to learn martial arts and make a movie about me fighting all the time. This is not the type of character he is use to playing and he really failed at it. I mean the last time I saw something like this was Beverly Hills Ninja with Chris Farley. Although, even though Farley was taught martial arts, he used it in a comedic way. Schneider was all serious and tried to have epic fight scenes. But he was just too slow. I mean I give him credit for learning, but when an enemy stands there for five minutes waiting for Schneider to do a roundhouse kick to attack him, you know something is wrong. Again, the story was just OK. It really didn't have a plot, but it did make you wonder what was going to happen. Or maybe I was just waiting for a really funny part. Too bad I really didn't get anything. All the rest of the cast didn't make sense and there is no point to mention them. Although David Carradine was in it and I would hate to have this movie under my belt before I passed away.

I Was Not Disappointed With Big Stan It Was Original & It Cracked Prison Jokes. The Plot Is That The fraudulent real state agent Stan is married with his beloved Mindy and has a seven million dollar fortune. When he is arrested for fraud, he is sentenced to three years in prison and his assets are frozen by the justice. However, his crooked lawyer Lew Popper negotiates a six month freedom, and the weak Stan, who is afraid of being raped in prison, hires the specialist in martial arts The Master to teach him self-defense. Six months later, Big Stan is sent to the Oaksburgh State Penitentiary totally confident in his expertise in martial arts. He challenges the violent leaders of the gangs and defeats them, being respected by the inmates and bringing peace in the patio. However, the dirty Warden Gasque has the intention of transforming the penitentiary in a luxury resort, and uses Big Stan knowledge to improve his project, promising to release him sooner using the corrupt penal system. There Is A Character Arc From A Prick To A Normal Man Like Iron Man. 8/10 Is My Best Offer For This Film
