How sad is this?

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

Beautiful Sunday is a South Korean thriller made with the usual style and panache that films from that country possess. It's a police procedural tale in which the police hunt for a serial rapist who has been abusing women in dark and dingy alleyways, but the film takes a turn for the psychological around the halfway mark with a big twist that takes it into an entirely different territory. It's confusing at times, but one of those films that all makes sense come the climax; the acting is of a typically high calibre and the photography quite beautiful.
