Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Lightdeossk Captivating movie !
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Jonathan Brunelle The main feeling we get watching is Luc Besson's fantasy to work with two of the hottest ladies in the world and he that he all made it last the longest possible unable letting those gorgeous sweeties go away. I could never let 'em go either without feeling like crying so I understand Besson, but still can't say it's worth the watch. People who attended theaters tow watch must have felt like they've been stolen their money and time while on a lazy Sundy afternoon it might fill a background ambiance well. Those two beauties leave you with something to remember but it's indeed something they'd do anywhere they get whether it's on a screen or in reality. Let's be honest, if it wouldn't be for them you rather not even think about how sour this citron might get! Luc, never repeat it!
CameronWalker01 When I saw this movie in the video store I decided to hire it on a whim expecting a rough and tough western with plenty of action. I was sorely disappointed when I got it home and watched it. The first forty five minutes were extremely boring and drawn out. It could of had said events pass comfortably in a lean half hour without dragging itself out. The action scenes are few and far between and really leave something to be desired. Even a few times when I was expecting a gunfight it ended up fizzing and nothing happened. The acting in this movie is as mediocre as the action and is only topped by the extremely poor script. The movie really has no saving grace except for the one scene where we're treated to our leading ladies scantly clad as can can girls in what's a very sexy scene. If this movie had been shot in a style akin to the comic cinema style seen in 300, Bitch Slap and Sin City and incorporated a fair amount of T n' A from Salma and Penelop Cruz as well as more frequent, longer and violent fight scenes it would of in my opinion been vastly improved. Overall I give this movie a 3/10......It could of been a 7.((This is my first review so please be gentle, lol :P)
Samiam3 Bandiadas is Strictly b-movie material, but that doesn't mean it has no spirit. If nothing else, one is liable to get a kick out of Hollywood's two hottest Spanish actresses sharing screen time, wielding knives and pistolas, and playing off each other with one liners like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The end result is a dumb, but cute comedic westernBandidas makes up for its lack of brains and creativity, with satire. It keeps the movie from being dull or obnoxious (generally) but I think it is safe to say that the movie could've been funnier. Robert Rodriguez would be very much at home behind the camera on this one. Under such circumstances, Badidas would not just be spiced up but may have even been clever. On another matter, It is a wonder how something that features names like Hayek, Cruz, writer Luc Besson, and even Sam Shepard (renowned American play write and co-star of The Right Stuff), did not get major commercial release. At any rate, Bandidas remains silly but is amusing enough to make it worth a peek (assuming it catches your attention)
sonya90028 Bandidas is a highly entertaining, fun ride. It takes place in Mexico, during the Mexican revolution in the 1800s. Two drop-dead gorgeous young women (played by Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek), decide to team-up and rob banks. This is quite a twist, from the usual macho western movie formula. The women commit robberies out of vengeance, in order to save land stolen from the Mexican people, by a villainous land baron. The violence in the film is ubiquitous, as it is in most westerns. However, the violent tone of the movie, is leavened with a jaunty, slap-stick humor. Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek, play the bank robbing duo more like a squabbling Laverne and Shirley, rather than Butch and Sundance. They have hilarious cat-fights with each other, as they try to learn to work together as a team. There's lots of incredible stunts throughout the film. Some are even performed by the horses, ridden by the characters. This is one of the few westerns I've seen, in which the steeds are as important to the plot, as the humans are. This factor highlights the overall lighted-hearted ambiance, running throughout the course of the film. The serious business of justice and revenge is pursued with gusto, by the beautiful, bank-robbing two-some. But along the way, the viewer is treated to lots of belly-laughs. Watching this film, is a great way to get your funny-bone tickled, while rooting for the good guys (in this case gals), to triumph over evil.
