Andy Clark I pride myself on my zombie movie collection and had to add this to the collection. I am glad I didn't pay full price for this movie for an entire myriad of reasons.Going in, I knew I had seen most zombie movies out there that have any kind of production value or genius behind them, so I knew this wouldn't be great going in, but even keeping up with my low expectations was too much for this movie.Plot- makes no sense. Typical for lower budget zombie movies though. SPOILER- there is one point where the characters are holding a door shut from the zombies outside, and not 1 minute later they open that same door to escape and there are no zombies in sight...Acting- horrible. Special Effects- One of the only saving graces for this film, BUT the shaky-cam sequences ruin them (probably to mask lesser quality effects). The effects that are clear are pretty decent though. SPOILER- the fetus kill was pretty neat the first time I saw it for the shock value, but that's it. But seriously, why is the main character constantly cocking the shotgun without firing it? That is annoying.Ending- cliffhanger ending, OK whatever. The sequel keeps getting pushed back, and quite frankly I'm not heartbroken over that. Honestly, if I didn't enjoy screamo music, this movie wouldn't have left any good impressions. That, and the brief boob shot at the beginning of the movie...

Peter Kets Literally it's the worst zombie movie ever!Makes absolutely no sense!Forget what you knew about zombies. This is something entirely new in the worst possible way.It's a challenge to see this film.It's boring despite the directors trying to make it action packed.In fact that's what this movie is!It's not horror in any way.So many jump scares in the first 5 minutes that make the viewer expect it at all times.After a while you get so used to it that you can successfully guess when the next jump scare will be.Waste no time.Almost every other movie is better than this one.Worst scene of the movie:a blooded student that comes running out of class gets a punch in the face(we don't see if he dies) and everyone ignores him like it's the most common thing to happen in their everyday life.

byxl Considering this movie was made on extremely tight budget and it gave me the impression of a mainstream type of horror flick, I must say, all things considered it's a masterpiece. Story might be shallow (but it's a Zombie movie people!), characters might be weak and the acting might be mediocre (with the exception of William Howard Bowman who was solid and very likable), but the visual presentation and the final product is worthy of a theatrical release. I still cannot believe the budget was $30,000! For those of you who are waiting for the World War of Z, or another mainstream Zombie movie, this is the thing to watch in order to fill the gap. I rate it - 9/10. Definitely for your DVD collection.

dragonrebornk6 This movie was a blast to watch, and felt different from other low-budget movies. For one thing, you could tell that the people in it were having fun making it. They weren't looking to be the next big thing. They just wanted to make a good, fun, zombie movie. The problem with a lot of movies today, is that people have become jaded. Everyone is a critic, and everyone believes that critics can only be negative. (Which is fairly true) I've seen quite a few dud zombie movie that get high marks just because of some silly mechanic, or some deeper message. For instance, Redneck Zombies got fairly positive reviews just because it was from Troya. I couldn't stand that move, and quit watching after 20 minutes. For a first effort, Automaton Transfusion was awesome. The acting, while not exactly "blockbuster" was better than a lot of SyFy movies. And when the end of the film comes, leaving you hanging as to the fate of our heroes, it only makes you wish they would get the next one done. If everyone is going to complain about the next Hollywood remake, or the next Hasbro cash-in, then they should try to see the good in those movies and companies that are making original titles. I for one would have rather seen the sequel to this movie in place of the abysmal "Clash of the Titans" remake.
