This film takes the viewer on a unique journey around the weird and wonderful planet that we call home. When Yuri Gagarin was blasted into space he became the first human to get a proper look at where we live. The Earth is blue he exclaimed, how amazing! Suddenly our perspective on the world had changed forever. We thought we were going to explore the universe, yet the most extraordinary thing we discovered was our own home planet, the Earth. So what would you see during just one orbit of the earth?

Around The World In 60 Mins Audience Reviews

Cebalord Very best movie i ever watch
Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Jane Donovan this documentary is great for a relatively quick overview of the health of our planet. Perfect for informing my adult class who don't think to watch this kind of thing at home. There are terrific views of Earth as well as harrowing facts of deserts increasing, forests decreasing, animals becoming extinct, and much more depressing data. Its vital that more people know this stuff so they can add their voices to the discussions and debates that I hope will come to be in every community and culture until a majority of the world's population will realise that the world is balancing on the brink of non-viability. Something huge and worldwide needs to be done to save our planet.
