The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

Having seen this short feature on Sci-Fi Channel's "Exposure" series, I was very impressed with the striking visuals that are presented in this computer animated film by a French Director. Not surprisingly, the director, Francois Baranger, has a background in art and graphics which he richly uses to convey his vision of aliens/creatures/landscapes. The premise seems all too familiar: Alien crash lands on planet, (which may or may not be Earth); meets a pair of military men stationed on remote site; and unites with the humans to fight an even greater alien menace that has also crash landed with the alien. Mr. Baranger, however, is able to bestow some "character" and helps instill a sense of "personality" with his protagonists. And yes, there's even the customary "ethical" dilemma thrown in just to make this an above-average story. Lastly, there is a surprise ending to this very interesting saga. Overall, an enjoyable film to see even is you're not an aficionado of science fiction. Bravo to Mr. Baranger! Vive La France!
