To me, this movie is perfection.

I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

Hello Its Me Again I Present AN EVENING WITH KEVIN SMITH The Best Stand-Up Comedy I Have Seen Like Ones Like Ricky Gervais Doing It Is Not Funny & The Audience Asks Kevin Questions & He Answers With Funny Answers Like With The Faith Of Dogma That Some Guy Asked Him He Replied With A Funny Answer(& Here It Is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UDoIBgiUAQ) Yeah Its Also Funny With His Superman Reborn Story He Was Going To Do It With John Peters The Guy Who Did Another Film About A Year Later It Was Called "Wild Wild West" & Guest Appearance From Jason Mewes & He Talks About His Comic Book "Chasing Dogma" Which Is In Between Chasing Amy & Dogma. That Smith Is A Funny Guy. I Only Give It 9 Because Its A Little Boring When Your Watching Stuff Like That Prince Story & It Gets To The Stage Where Its Disgusting When He's Telling People About How He Met His Wife With His (CENSORED CENSORED CENSORED CENSORED CENCORED CENSORED CENSORED CENSORED) & He Tells Them Thats His Worst Sexual Experience. Anyway If I Was In America Near The Places Where He Was Talking I'd Go & Ask "Are You Even Supposed To Be Here Today?" Then I'd Ask "Why No More Jay & Bob Movies?" But Anyway This Is Extremely Funny & Interesting Because You Find Out Stuff About The Legend Behind Jay & Silent Bob & The Comic Book Series Guardian Devil (Yeah I Admit It Thats My Favourite Daredevil Series) "Snooch To The Nooch" Rating: 9/10
Christopher Smith
AN EVENING WITH KEVIN SMITH is the type of documentary that film geeks like Quentain Taraintino and Kevin Smith himself wish was available during their late teen years. Informative, hilarious, and just down-right entertaining, it's the perfect solution to what to do on a Saturday night when there is nothing to do at the dorm. Essentially a concert picture, filmmakers J.M. Kenny follows Kevin Smith through college tours across the country, capturing the essence of Kevin Smith, his films, and his fans. Smith talks about a very wide range of topics including Daredevil, Prince, writing an early draft of the Superman Returns script, his first sexual encounter with his wife, fatherhood, Hollywood's biggest egotistical jerks (Tim Burton), and his childhood. Smith speaks with total and complete honesty, treats the audience with respect, and never once sounds like a Hollywood blow-hard. Even those who dislike Smith will have a hard time finding something negative to say about what they see. Highly recommended. 10/10.

An Evening with Kevin Smith played recently on TV, at a time of day with not much else to do (or maybe just not wanting to do much else), and it is the kind of special that can suck in a fan. Basically, for the fans of Smith and/or his films, it's probably the place to hear all of the stories outside of the special features on his films films's DVD's. It's mostly just a string of stories, answers to questions of the fans at the talks, and a few cool surprises. Some of those are the impromptu appearances of Jason Mewes- on stage- and producer Scott Mosier on the phone. Some are also in the form of revelations, to one degree or another, by Smith. What makes the whole three hour+ special work even for someone not as much into the View Askew world (or maybe still a little sour from Jersey Girl) is how down to earth the filmmaker is through his sense of humor, in short, no pretense in his answers. It's really one of those specials people have an afternoon or night to kill can check out with a beer or some friends. Is it a little long? Sure, but it's never uninteresting either (the stories on Dogma and Mewes alone are worth it).

I was at this appearance. It was totally free, and he talked for five hours, just like IMDb says he did at Cornell. He only taped for about the first three, and then he did a fake goodbye for the cameras. He told people in the audience to go ahead and leave if they wanted to, but he would stay and answer questions as long as they kept coming. This was the only appearance on the DVD that Jason Mewes was at. He seemed a little out of place. He just sat in his chair and occasionally answered a question, and he didn't give long, elaborate answers like Kevin did. He didn't stay on stage the whole time either. Kevin more than made up for it though. I didn't have the nerve to get on the mike, but I know a few of the guys that made it on the DVD.I used to live in the same dorm as this guy that asked Kevin and Jason if they wanted to get down after the show as he made a gesture like he was smoking a joint. Kevin jokingly asked if the guy if he was saying he wanted to suck their @#%#%s.
