An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder Audience Reviews

Colibel Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
SnoopyStyle Kevin Smith goes to Toronto. He praises Canada (but he's not pandering). He talks about Tim Horton, his family, a lot of dick jokes, throwing an election, revisiting Prince, Gibson's Passion of Christ and whatever off the top of his head. He supports Affleck who was getting bashed at the time. Jason Mewes does Half, Half, Whole which brings the place down.In London, he's in a more intimate space. He starts off railing against some bad press from The 3M Girls after Jersey Girl. There is less drug humor and a little hesitation with the language differences. It's more hit and miss compared to Toronto. The crowd is older and not the college crowd that he gets back in America. The Toronto show is very much in line with the first "An Evening with Kevin Smith". It's rowdy and no holds barred. The London show is more mixed. It has the young wild college kids but even they run more towards film fans. I would bet that the percentage of marijuana smokers is much lower in London. London has more slow spots but it's still quite fascinating. The language problem does get a little tiresome but I don't blame anybody for that.
WakenPayne Again Smith Makes A DVD Strictly For People Like Me Or People Who Enjoy His Humor. My All Time Favourite Part Is When That Idiot Criticized Kevin Smith & He Asked About Smith Owning 10million & He Replied "No I Am Fat & I Buy A Lot Of DVD's & I Am Also Married...Don't Get Married Which Doesn't Seem To Be A Real Problem For You" Now I Am Not Known For Being Intelligent But To Insult Kevin Smith Is The Equivillent Of Poking A Bee Hive With A Stick, It's Stupid To Even Think About Doing It. Another Favourite Part Is When He Did A Review For "Dora The Explorer" I Know The Show Because When Hellboy 2 Came Out They Ran Hellboy 1 On TV & I Fell Asleep The First Time I Saw It...Guess What Was On 12 Hours Later? So I Will Vouch For Kevin & Will Say Its An Amazing Show If Your Stonned. The One Thing I Want Kev To Do Is To Make Jay & Silent Bob Have One Last Movie. I Liked The Canada Disc But Am Not A Huge Fan Of The London Disc...I Fell Asleep In That & Guess What Was On 12 Hours Later?...Just Kidding I Only Watched DTE Once & Once Is Enough! But I Gave Up On The London Disc...Take My Advice If You Hear The First Joke & Laugh In That Disc Then You Will Like It...The Canada Disc Is Better...So If You Want My Opinion You Should Save The Best Til Last.1/2 1/2 Whole, Shuffle, Hide Behind A Rock.
foun0012 An Evening with Kevin Smith was able to show how quick witted Kevin Smith was, and it revealed to me how funny he actually was. That was a really enjoyable DVD. An Evening with Kevin Smith 2 is still good I think, despite the Toronto DVD being a little weak, although there is still enough funny material (Kevin's ideal view of his father...) in it to make it worth watching. The London DVD is definitely worth seeing though, as that is where the audience members don't bring down the show as much with stupid annoying questions, which I think allows Kevin Smith be able to respond with more wit, and comical answers to his questions. And when he goes off on the LOTR trilogy, its hilarious. Any Kevin Smith fan should check this out, as it still made me laugh enough to enjoy this DVD for the most part.
sjensen-4 As the Summary says: An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder (2006) is, in my opinion, Not as funny as the first one - but still very funny.I expected something like the first one, and i got it. And that is it.In An Evening with Kevin Smith 1 (AEWKS-1) there was a lot of funny stories from Hollywood, I.E. the Tim Burton, Jon Peters and Prince stories. Those kind of stories i missed in AEWKS-2 - there was a little about Prince, but that was it. Because the bit Kevin Smith did about Jon Peters was one of the funniest bits I've ever watched, i was kinda hopping for such things. But Thankfully Kevin Smith is also a good Stand-Up-Comedian. So there was a lot to compensate for my false hopes. I really loved his parody of Lord Of the Rings, though he had used it on am American Talk Show and Clerks 2. The whole part in England was the coolest bit - i like Canada also, but the British bit was just so much cooler. Especially when Smith had fun with that British Chick, who worked in a Comic-store..... that is every time Smith improvises, it is funny. He made fun of her accent - and i loved it, because he did in a very friendly way.But i still enjoyed it - long time.I gave the first An Evening with Kevin Smith 10/10.An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder will get 8/10. Because it is still very funny. The only things i didn't like, was that they used to much time on big stand-up-bits, instead of the more improvised things in AEWKS-1. There was too little Hollywood-gossip - but i guess it is because Smith is more political now, and wants to be friends with some in Hollywood, and therefore will not Bash any people, who he can possible work with in the future.8/10 - 'nuff said.Oh Yeah: Snooch To the Nooch.
