This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

Stereotyping can happen in many ways, "cat people" are strange people who live in dirty weird houses and probably have skeletons or maybe fresh human meat in stocked in a fridge. Oh, don't forget driving some car which might have been taken out of a Stephen King's book. I don't know if these directors stereotype to be facetious or they do it because they hate cats. And cat people, I am, are usually people who love animals, nature, and we have cats because they are easier to take care of. This movie also seems like a second tier version of Stephen King's Misery. It is dull, sloppy and very, very predictable, which is the worse thing is a intended to be thriller movie. So, go fly a kite, swim in the lake, watch sports, better, do some sport!!

I was originally drawn to this film because the trailer was reminiscent of Steven King's "Misery, unfortunately, the trailer is the best thing about the film. This movie is so slow, and possibly feels even slower, because of the nonstop piano music that is used to drive the nonexistent tension. I have always wanted to watch a slasher film where the serial killer is a female, but Kate Bosworth completely missed the mark. Her clean and polished look, combined with her random "Snapple facts" are absolutely ridiculous. I painstakingly watched the rest of the movie hoping that the story would eventually bring some clarity, but the resolution is just as forgettable as the previous hour and a half.

Amnesiac (2015) is a dark, eerie, and suspenseful thriller to say the least. It has that Stephen King's "Misery" vibe going for it in a huge way, but better. This movie has a beautiful twist beyond what is expected; great story. The film setting is the type I enjoy, faded and more old school era sort of a 50's styling; beautiful for such a film. The acting is impeccable and holds the reality within the characters keeping the movie feeling alive and more on a real world versus an in cinema vibe.I tend to not watch a whole lot of horror now days as most are poorly put together and become more the T&A blood gore than anything as this film doesn't. Amnesiac has that dark intelligent intent that drives the story and film all at once and I find it truly refreshing to experience it. Great film for it's genre.

OK, I gave this 10 as a response to those who were responsible for the 4.3 IMDb rating. You know who you are. An interesting, disturbing and creepy thriller about three people that get into an automobile accident: A couple and a girl (presumably the couple's daughter) are involved in an accident that renders the man (this character is not given a name in the move) an amnesiac. What follows is a creepy, sometimes violent and disturbing story with an excellent twist of an ending. Well acted with an excellent performance by Kate Bosworth. It is on Amazon Prime and worth a look if you like interesting thriller/horror films.
