Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

I almost didn't watch this and passed it by on my On Demand options many times. You like amazingly acted thrillers? You like complete and intelligent story telling with excellent character development? You like nail biting drama with a severe and sharp cutting edge. Then watch this movie. It stars the criminally underutilized and underrated Judd Hirsch along with Ryan O'Nan and a stellar cast. Get your popcorn, grab your ice-cream and your sweetie, turn the lights low and watch without distraction. Why can't all movies be so entertaining and fulfilling?

I saw this at the Palm Beach International Film Festival" and its one of the most intriguing, suspenseful psychological thrillers I have ever seen. Judd Hirsch is amazing and it's refreshing to see him back in a major role. The rest of the cast do a bang up job portraying a family that is holding on to their wits by a thread as of their own makes damning accusations against the father and turns the house upside down. At the end of the film you are sitting at the edge of your seat as the suspense and mystery steers the way. You think you have it figured out but you find out you are so wrong. The ending wraps up the film leaving you saying - Oh, I never thought of that. I can't recommend this enough

The Red Robin was a fantastic surprise for me. I was able to see it at the Hollywood Film Festival and was blown away by the film. Definitely the best film at the festival, and one of the best thriller's I've seen in a long time. The acting is first class and works perfectly with the tone and direction set by writer/director Michael Wechsler. I think it's incredibly hard to capture a story that takes place all in one location and in one specific time frame, and Wechsler pulls this off brilliantly. From the first moments, you accept these characters and wrapped up in the twisted reality of Dr. Shellner's Family. The twist was both surprising and totally believable. I hope this movie gets more exposure, it deserves it.

Loved this movie! The story centers on a family that has gathered to say goodbye to their father, who is in his last days. He is a scientist who, with his wife, has adopted and raised a number of children during his life. The movie reveals struggles that some of the children have had and this time in their father's home allows them to recount past events, causing secrets to be revealed. The interaction between the diverse and talented cast was superb and the story keeps the viewer from wanting to miss a second. Flashback scenes keep the viewer's heart rate up with the race to figure out what happened before the story is resolved. Even so, the story's resolution is completely unexpected and worth waiting for.Highly recommend!
