2:22 Audience Reviews

Kattiera Nana I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Vashirdfel Simply A Masterpiece
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
Jerrie It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
ManchesterMatthew This film didn't have a clue what it wanted to be, and in a relatively short running time it veered in far too many directions, succeeding in none of them.It begins as a bog standard city drama. Before long it's a disaster movie, before taking a hairpin bend into fantasy. But wait, now it's a love story, or is it a crime drama? Murder mystery? Suspense? No, I've got it now, it's like Groundhog Day, wait, no, I meant Ghost, no, Premonition! Sorry, I meant science fiction. No, I have it this time, it's an action film!See what I mean? In barely over an hour and a half it bounces from one type of film to the next with hardly any character development or coherent plot. And the score is maddening. A constant thrumming throughout was starting to physically aggravate my senses by the time it went off - something I was longing for, by the way. One of the worst films I've seen, to the point I apologised afterwards for having suggested we watch it. Avoid.
sukrancetik5 They named film after well deserved rate, so they gave their best clue with film's only name. Rate should be 2 at most 2, 2 but not more than 2. Actually at least they did not lie about rate of the film by naming over it :) So at the end most of the people will be asking "What all the fuss was about?". However film named after from well deserved rate, so they gave their best clue with the film's only name. " Sorry for taking your time but actually we said it all at the start by naming the film over it. So not to blame us." Now what else I can say more. They were quite right!
petra_ste This is a good example of "How not to execute a high-concept sci-fi/fantasy premise". An air traffic controller (played by Daario Naharis from Game of Thrones) starts having visions and notices weird patterns in his daily routine, with the implication of some impending tragedy taking place at 2:22 and involving both him and his new girlfriend (redeemingly pretty Teresa Palmer).See, in movies where the plot hinges on some kind of premonitions, you need to ESTABLISH CLEAR SIMPLE RULES - like in Minority Report, Groundhog Day, Source Code, The Dead Zone, Déjà Vu, It Happened Tomorrow, etc. Not necessarily explanations. But rules. We need to know early in the story how the hero's powers work, how he can take advantage of them, what their limits are. THEN you can put a spin on those rules - but you need to establish them first. If it's all too vague, then anything goes and tension becomes tedium. Here the story turns out to involve, I kid you not, the explosion of a far-away star, the protagonists' astrological sign and reincarnation. It's too much; the movie drags. Pity, because an initial scene involving a potential plane crash was fairly tense.4,5/10
gaykathleen I really enjoyed this movie. It was suspenseful and intriguing. The audience is taken on a ride with the actors through an intricate plot that weaves its way to a final conclusion that has a satisfying twist. I like how it ended, tying up all loose ends and responding to all the viewer's unanswered questions. The acting was convincing and all were solid performances. The two main characters were especially good and carried the film with the help of the minor actors. I like this style of movie that allows the audience to use their brains instead of spelling everything out as though the audience is not intelligent. View this film with fresh eyes ignoring the derogatory reviews that obviously think that giving a one or a two to a movie is a good idea. The low scores that were given by some have caused this movie to be overlooked which is totally unfair.
